How good is Ideon? I've never seen it.
it's a pretty comfy 70s mecha at times but it has its sad moments,kinda similar to the first gundam series but turns way darker.

Nodoka was the original thief and the fact that she did it without even knowing her crime makes it all the more fucked up. That's like a serial killer who doesn't know murder is wrong, he's just doing is thing.
Honestly I have found realistic moments of sadness and hardship like the dogs dying in Homeless Boy Remi or in WMT like the donkey dying in Marco or the relentless bullying in Princess Sara far more despair inducing than anything as grandiose as Berserk or Evangelion.
