Koutetsujou no Kabaneri

She did everything wrong.

Shoko did no... oh, wait, wrong thread.

Is Habanero the best MC of the season?

she's got nice armpits but I prefer muscle girl

KISAMA!

Pretty much. And Mumei best heroine.

I'll allow it solely because she is WALKING SEX.

12 YEAR OLD, SEX.

LITERALLY SEX PERSONIFIED.

Except stopping aging.

Is Hungry Habanero user here? Is the fapfic done?

It was done yesterday.

I have seen peppers with more brains than Mumei

I'm thinking she will redeem herself by the end of the show.

Haven't had the chance to continue working on it yet, but I will tonight. If there's a Kabaneri thread, I'll post the finished thing there. Otherwise you can just check the page again, I'll probably have editted the rest in by American morning.

It's like 2/3rds finished, I wouldn't end it on a cliffhanger like that.

Almost indisputably. She's gotten enough limelight by now that they wouldn't end the story on her just being the butt of Biba's cruel joke.

Maybe she's going to save the day or something like that, but I don't see they showing Mumei becoming less stupid.

What would happen if she turned out like ?

It's possible.

Even the braindead kabane seem brilliant compared to this simpleminded idiot.
I suppose that it is to be expected that being a zombie makes you stupid but becoming a full zombie would most likely be an improvement for her.

Naive, missled idiot. Well, atleast she really seems to be mentally 12 year old too.

On the contrary, I think that's kind of the point of the entire show. Mumei is a broken, twisted, naive, and reckless girl who's been gradually repaired by Ikoma like a chipped blade. He's smithing her into a new sword that isn't some unloved no-name weapon unmarked by its creator, but one with a name that is valued for reasons beyond its strength.

A lot of work for three episodes.

When I watched this episode, that line sounded a lot less idiotic in my head.

To expand on this, Mumei's recklessness in the middle episodes was mostly due to her fear of becoming unvalued by the people around her (and specifically Biba) if she were to lose her sharpness as a warrior, which Ear dug out into the open like the arse he is. Her strategy wasn't really without logic, getting to the crane as fast as possible and exterminating a lot of kabane could have been the right decision in a number of situations, like if the colony was already awake and just lurking outside the fortress.

What Ikoma and the others have been accomplishing with Mumei has been treating her like a person rather than only a weapon to be used and disposed of, and that alone has soothed much of her insecurities that were her biggest flaw up to the latest episodes, where now her naivete and blind obedience towards a guy who only fakes his value towards her are biting her in the ass. It's up to the Ikoma crew to fix this flaw in her too, like working a fault line out of a steel blade by reforging it.

It might be a bit rushed in the end.

I hope to see the scene of the Kabane horde blowing up behind Mumei while she walks away giving no fucks in the last three episodes.

After all, some op parts are already scenes from the episodes themselves. Not to say they will be actual scenes, but I'm just presuming they will.

I guess the "Mumei is a sword" metaphor really holds up to the very end. Ikoma is even a (steam) smith.

Yes but at this point the only way she could redeem herself is probably by sacrificing her life to take down Biba and his gang.

One of the running themes of the series is Ikoma struggling to stop everyone from just suiciding to protect the people around them, and other people judging those kinds of folks as unsaveable, since he's already proven there's another option (going kabaneri via throat constriction).

It would go against that theme and all the relationship Ikoma has built up with Mumei if he let her sacrifice herself for something like redemption, even if she's starting to turn kabane due to the viral injection.

Just my two cents.

At least Mumei's characterization is consistent.

Mumei is so overrated. I'll admit the footservice scene in the first episode garnered some interest in her from me, but now that all the characters have appeared and filled out a bit, I'd take Yukina, Horobi and Ayame over her easily (in that order too).

>I made a very big mistake.

Good taste, fampai

How big exactly?

Have we gotten any good fanart of Horobi yet?

Preferably any showcasing her booty?

This guys gets it

Half as big as your dick

so no mistake then?

Why would you burn yourself like that?

>implying I'm

Update: made less progress than intended tonight, too tired to finish. Will wrap up and post tomorrow.
