its ok

It's ok in its way.

its alright. better than the majority of shows today

Really good first season but the novelty of the show wears off halfway through season 2.

The way it builds up tension is masterful.

The way it makes that tension pay off is unremarkable.

Exactly how I felt. I also had a problem with Mikoto during the 2nd season. I love the idea of his development but the execution was annoying

fun about a quarter of the time
otherwise a drag

Blow Matt Lauer

Loved it. Thoroughly enjoyed following every character and their stories, specially moot. Except Anri, she was boring from start to finish.

Words cannot describe my disappointment with Anri.

It was pretty enjoyable, the characters are very entertaining to watch

I'm currently watching it. Just finished season 1. It's blown my fucking mind so far. I really like its art style too, and the characters are all loveable in their own way.

Hope they don't fuck it up

Is she better in the books, or just shit in general
I only just started this show
4 episodes in

She's just extremely boring and barely improves even with all the development for her.

both of you need to close the thread before you get extremely spoiled

First half of season 1 was great, I got sick of Izaya very quickly. The targeting of Dollars was an incredibly stupid idea. I get that the source material is a little old now, but to equate a message board to street gang is too much for me. Like the Russians, Yakuza, and supernatural elements but again Izaya just dumbs the whole series down. They can't have actual conflicts without this pretentious faggot behind everything? It would fit better with this image of a vast and mysterious world.

fujoshit

It had so much potential since the groups were so different in style (traditional gang, cult, and message board).

Suffers from "if only I told my friends the truth" syndrome which is infuriating to watch.

Wish they had a better developed villain in at least one of the arcs.

Otherwise, pretty comfy.

One third of Shou doesn't have Izaya behind it (although it was a comedic arc), half of Ten doesn't either and pretty much the entirety of Ketsu is caused by Kujiragi little journey of self-discovery and Mikado's spiralling hard out of everyone's control trying to crash Ikebukuro with no survivors all while Izaya is busy being backstabbed by his little group of friends and beat up by Shizuo.

Kind of became boring until the final episodes of the final season. The main character grew more and more obnoxious with every season. By the end I couldn't stand him.

I wish we could get another season of Baccano!.

>main character
You're watching it wrong.

It was a pretty decent series and I'm fairly happy with how things ended. I still need to watch the OVAs.

Where did Baccano leave off in terms of the novels?
volume 1 got released in America not long ago
I bought it a few days ago, haven't read it yet though

S2 never ;_;

Baccano fucked up adapting the novels. The anime ended at volume 3 after completely cutting out the existence of a few characters and the OVAs aborted volumes 4 and 12.

>You'll never be a classy, but stupid immortal criminal with a qt pie blonde sidekick.
Why are we even here?

>You will never get be immortal and have a immortal redheaded homunculus qt who is so pure it takes her 50 years to finally get married and still doesn't know what sex is 20 years after that.

Whats the point anons?

its only problem was taking too long for sequel to come.

if you watch it in bulk, its pretty good.

Great sometimes, dull other times. Still a really good series, though. Just like Baccano, the characters are its highlight.

>You'll never be a easily scared badass with an adorable bomb loving Girlfriend.
We're just here to suffer user.

>Baccano is one epilogue away from being fully translated
>No updates since December
Someone just do it already.

How can one series have so many best girls? Every girl in the story was pure waifu material.

This is actually the best way I've ever seen durarara described.

Izaya is an awful character.

>How can one series have so many best girls?

It has the best boys too.

That's why literally everyone in-universe hates him and his one, only and best friend descibes him as puke

t. Shizuo

It's a solid 7/10. Second season had bad production values, but the plot makes up for it.

All the characters were great, I legitimately liked them all. except that one frog looking Mob boss.
Miria and Isaac are still the best.

That is intentional at least to a certain extent.
But it works a lot better in novel form than in anime.

This
Baccano's characters were all amazing, but Isaac and Miria were something else.
Every scene they were in had me smiling, if not laughing. It's hard for me to think of any other characters from anything that are as genuinely enjoyable to watch as those two

Second season came wayyy too late and everyone lost interest or forgot what happened.

Issac and Miria are hands down one of the greatest couples I have seen in any media.

>tfw you will never have friends like them

100% agree, but then I was smiling through almost all the scenes in Baccano! that weren't entirely serious.

Fantastic show. The first 2 seasons were amazing but the rest were just alright

Overall 8.5/10

Great characters, amazing story, but the pacing was off during season 2

Pacing and production values were x2's worst enemy.
First cour was just messy with the studio apparently not having got their shit togheter yet. This improved in the latter two cours and they didn't have such inconsistent quality, but by that point there were far too many novels to cram into few episodes for it to be able to build the same atmosphere the first season did, or to make the audience care about the characters like the novel does.
And though Durarara was never a 1:1 adaptation, some stuff left out from the source material still bothers me. Particularly with Aoba.

REALLY good OPs

Aoba got shafted pretty hard, yeah. I guess the anime staff dislikes him as much as Narita likes him.
I'm still disappointed the anime had him go home after Akabayashi scared him at the hospital in the end and cut out the chat he had with Kida there.

S1 was fantastic. Probably one of my favorites from this genre
S2 dragged a little and lacked closure, but it was alright

I miss Walker ;_;

Horo

So the 2 season animated all the novels? Can I finally watch it now?

boring

Yes.

I was told that it was borderline fujo so I drop it.
