Those pictures are from the same show, the same episode even.
Jason Martin
It's a meme you dip
Asher Jenkins
Speaking of memes...
Asher Nguyen
Because Free.
Cameron Peterson
You're also responding to a meme, senpai.
Owen Sullivan
It's never going to be funny a second time, just give up.
Hudson Cooper
Slam Dunk was basically what started the whole fujoshi thing.
I hope you don't think that meme started with OPM.
Benjamin Powell
You're a meme
Jordan Ortiz
you best start believing in memes child
You're in one!
Hudson Jackson
>not even the original post screencap
Alexander Kelly
Because there are less and less male viewers of male-oriented sports manga/anime since modern otaku hate sports while fujos like them since they get off on sausagefests.
Jack Torres
Old sports anime had that kind of atmosphere and character that defined them as something more than just another anime. But now they're just that, generic shows with sport slapped onto them, and yes of course many are aimed or directly pandering to fujos.
Carson Foster
Because watching sports is for faggots.
Evan Hernandez
It's literally the best genre.
Jacob Martinez
Slam Dunk and Initial D both had massive fujo fanbases when they came out. A bunch of authors that went legit did SD homo early on like Umino Chica, Ougi Yuzuha, Fujiyama Hyouta, and Yamane Amano.
But really, shounen sports series are aimed at little boys in theory so they pander to the parents that watch with their kids. Sentai/Kamen Rider do the same thing. They have goofy action/friendship powers for the kids and then hire JAV tits actresses and handsome men to make it fun for mom and dad.
Christopher Torres
Case in point.
Jace Lopez
There's literally nothing wrong with you being a faggot.
Luis Rodriguez
That OP was fucking amazing.
Caleb Edwards
I thought fujos weren't into bara.
Xavier Jackson
Was Ping Pong the last great sports anime?
Thomas Gutierrez
Like mecha, sports series weren't always fujobait, but that's what they've become now.
Jaxon Robinson
Times are changing user. Muscles are big right now. There's a lot of middle ground between stuff like Tagame and shoujo waifs and both sexes are enjoying them.
Hell, even Tagame knows he's got a decent female fanbase and has talked about how he sometimes caters to them.
Jaxon Brooks
One happy/horny family
Hunter Morales
It was the last great anime, period.
Evan Edwards
this looks gay as fuck
Jason Ross
Was escaflowne the first fujobait mecha?
Nathaniel Bailey
We need more Inazuma Eleven again.
Alexander Flores
There's something so disturbingly alien about fujoshi experiencing enjoyment. I'm sure you'll enjoy it plenty this fall.
Michael White
no that was the original gundam
Kayden White
>Why does it feel like all the recent sport show adaptations (...) are aimed at fujoshi first and foremost? That's where the money is. Young boys want to read battle shonen and not sports, and grown men want CGDCT. The men that actually like sports just watch real sports. The demographic for just sports manga for sports sake, whether it's professional or high school activites, is very small. It's no coincidence that one of the best selling sports manga of all time (Touch) centered more around romantical drama than it did baseball.
Robert Cook
It wasn't even funny the first time
Carter Hall
Wait, Ippo and Slam Dunk weren't aimed at fujos?
Andrew Cox
kek everytime.
Dominic Martinez
I want Sup Forums, Sup Forums, Sup Forums Sup Forums, /ck/, /mlp/ and /soc/ to leave.
Matthew Gomez
It has nothing to do with fujoshi, the writing and amount of work put into the latter is clearly greater. Different times, different shows. Not even moeshit is the same as it was before.
Dominic Walker
Have you seen the kind of humor hajime no ippo has? It's mostly jokes that only a man would fine funny. I mean just look at Takamura. He's literally that guy we all know that does dirty jokes all the time. Also I don't think the art style would be very appealing to the fujos.
Robert Murphy
>I don't think the artsyle You mean because it's old? Well duh it's gonna look bad
Anthony Watson
>Also I don't think the art style would be very appealing to the fujos.
You underestimate those love bara.
Anthony Bell
maybe you're just a retard who is insecure about his sexuality
Gabriel Murphy
Girls und Panzer is a sports anime.
Jaxon Morgan
There wouldn't be anything wrong with pandering to fujos if it didn't directly correlate with a decrease in objective quality of the work.
Eli Long
The decrease in quality comes from hack authors who can't write for shit, not the fanbase.
James Edwards
If the fanbase consumes your stuff anyways, why would the writer try?
Isaiah Jenkins
It's not that they don't try, it's that they genuinely have no talent. But people love to eat up shitty weekly shounen sports series so they still sell. All the shows in the first row had a larger young male fanbase than a fujoshi one at the beginning. And they might still do. The ones to blame for the shitty quality are tasteless shounen readers who hype it enough to reel in other kind of tasteless readers.
Camden Reyes
It started waaaaaaaaaaaaay before Free. Slam Dunk was probably the first sports manga that had a gigantic fujo following (although the first manga that led fujo becoming a major force in the doujin circuit was JoJo). And it was popular for a long time. Only Prince of Tennis lasted longer in popularity.
Ian Rogers
Nope that would be Captain Tsubasa.
Or Saint Seiya.
Josiah Gutierrez
BL has mostly moved from the super pretty boys and more into K-Pop looking guys now: more handsome than pretty. And yeah, there are bara mangaka who are making bank in the BL would like Inaki Matsumoto and Hyougo Kijima.
Fujo's taste in guys has definitely diversified in the last 10 years.
Adam Wilson
Because they literally are for a fujo demo.
Lucas Barnes
Yes. But it wasn't really about the sport.
Ethan Myers
Yeah, but only one of the four listed in the OP that is objectively bad was Kuroko and that's because it was written by a guy who didn't watch basketball before he started the manga and it's pretty apparent considering he never listed Kuroko's position as if he could be anything else other than a point guard due to his size and his inability to shoot consistently but got minutes on the court.
Adrian Price
Even before Jojo and Slam Dunk. Look at what was going on with Captain Tsubasa and Seiya.
Bentley Morales
> Ace of Diamond aimed at fujo
Guess you don't know about this semen demon
Jace Walker
The subs for that OP is the one thing Commie did right.
Jackson White
You're missing HQ as well.
Lincoln Price
>Haikyuu >bad Pick one.
Ethan Lopez
>textbook generic shounen personalities + the most boring sport >not bad I bet you read shounen jump every week.
Easton Bailey
Because it's a fujoshi conspiracy where they will slowly turn all anime into fujo-aimed shows. It starts with a few shows here and there, and next thing you know 3/4 of the chart are shows aimed at those filthy, filthy woman.
Justin Gray
>this is the type of post that gets tons of (You)'s these days *sigh* how the mighty Sup Forums has fallen
Josiah Watson
Not even an once of effort.
Julian Bailey
LOL, I don't. Haikyuu is literally the only SJ title I reading currently. Nice try.
And the characterization is fine and none of them seems forced. The only low points to Haikyuu is that it had a lot of matches back to back and kinda ignored the balance with SOL it had and now it's going back to that.
>indoor volleyball >boring Nigga, I can't help your bad taste. But if you hate the sport, the manga is going to be boring to you. It doesn't make it objectively bad.
Henry Young
>LOL Stopped reading right there.
Justin Diaz
>all the recent sport show adaptations Sport shows always had a female following and fujoshi have been a relevant part of the fanbase since Cap. Tsubasa.
Ryder King
I know the truth hurts, breh.
Michael Barnes
To be fair those two were fucking gay. Especially Saint Seiya.
Daniel Thompson
Except Sawamura isn't even interested in her even remotely that way.
Colton Williams
Most retarded post here so far
Landon Wright
Fujoshi shows don't mind including cute girls, look at Shounen Maid this season for example. Yaoi tend to have no cute girls though.
Owen Johnson
You think idiots on Sup Forums will believe that even if it's true? Literally half the board has no idea what a fujoshi even is.
Ian Morgan
Haikyuu and Kuroko being aimed at fujoshi is a meme. They just grabbed onto it because there was not much else. Like what they did with Death Note.
Wasn't Hajime no Ippo the one where they touched each others dicks in the shower?
Robert Gray
Leave and head over to reddit you tripfag.
Nathaniel Hernandez
Those are from the same show, same episode even.
Tyler Adams
Anime is better now.
Better and more sophisticated. On point too. You Luddites should realize that better tech means better animation.
For example, we hardly have loose cells or out of place layers. A lot of layers could be put on top of each other. Lighting has also improved. Lewd shiny thighs wouldn't have been possible in old cel animation. So are bloom effects (although some purists hate that)
I love these advancements. No more limited movement.
Lens flares galore, sure. Of course there are cons. Visually speaking, though? Enchanting is the first word that comes to mind.
We (that is, they) work faster as well. In truth, there's an influx of anime nowadays. Tons of series. Hentai too.
Amazing strides in technology shouldn't be ignored because of your nostalgia.
Greatness can be seen in the latest works out there. Intense visuals. Realistic backgrounds. Luscious movement.
Carter Edwards
Anime is dead. Lying six feet underground. Totally dedicated to catering to hardcore otaku and their willingness to overpay for BDs. Everyone else can't get into that sekrit klub. Retro anime used to be anime for everyone. Not today's anime. Anime in the new millennium is just for selling something. They're commercials. Expensive advertisements.
Undo this, Sup Forums. Nuke the Japs again. International intervention is called for before it's too late. Virgins from Japan are ruining anime. "Edgy" anime for mature people like myself are dying out. Retro anime can no longer sell. Sexualization sells now. End this by pulling the nuclear reset button on those goddamn elevens.
Levi Garcia
I hate you, but I'm impressed nonetheless.
Adam Jenkins
What's with that twitchy movement? Looks like she's having a seizure.
>Haikyuu >Man fanservice >Fujo baiting >School setting >All male cast + two-three girls (who don't play the sport aka useless female characters) >We don't need female fanservice (only male) because this is anime made for girls+fujos >Half of anime is them doing school stuff >A lot of cliche moments aka becames boring and predictable >Manga has garbage art >A lot of boys character aren't original, just copy-paste from another sport manga Yes, it is bad. If I was a girl, I would think like you : that it is great because fanservice sells. That is the only reason girls buy this shit and Free
Lincoln Cook
>evolution_of_demon_lords.jpg I don't have it on this hard drive
Andrew Adams
why did it get so much replies?
Jack Butler
...
Noah Edwards
it's forced animation
Anthony Thompson
Replies can form a positive feedback loop. People see something with a ton of replies, and reply as well to get in on it. This increases the amount of replies, and makes more people feel inclined to reply.
