>Battle of Raqqa >20-30.000 Kurds with air support from the largest air fleet in the world >vs 3.000 ISIS fighters
>over 3 months of fighting >1:2 death ratio to Kurds vs ISIS >only 1/3 ISIS fighters killed at most, most of them likely done by air strikes >daddy US bombs all houses indiscriminately with no regards to civilian life >number of dead civilians almost as high as ISIS casualties

But I'm in favor of the referendum, it means more internal disunity within the US sphere, an increase in Iranian influence, and possibly even the total subjugation of the Kurdistan region by a joint Turkish-Iranian-Iraqi operation.

I have heard that the Kurds are threatening Yazidis and Assyrians with violence if they do not vote Yes for independence. I've also heard that some of the ballots have been pre-selected for yes. Surely this isn't going to be an unfair referendum

>Speaking at New York press conference, DPRK Foreign Minister says that recent words from the US are "clearly a declaration of war". Adds that because the US has declared war, "even if US strategic bombers don't fly over North Korean air, we will hold the right to all measures of self-defense". Furthermore he says "In light of the declaration of war by Trump, all options are on the table of the supreme leadership".[1] >This Thursday the 12th Korea-US Integrated Defense Dialogue meeting is to begin. Both sides will discuss security issues and policy coordination against DPRK nuclear and missile programs.[2] >US expands controversial travel ban to include people from DPRK.[3] >At UNGA meeting, DPRK Foreign Minister says that Trump "might not have been aware what is uttered from his mouth, but we will make sure that he bears consequences far beyond his words".[4] >In rebuke to DPRK Foreign Minister, Trump threatens that if he echoes the thoughts of 'Little Rocket Man', DPRK won't be around much longer.[5] >Hours before DPRK UNGA speech, US bombers flew north of the 38th Parallel for the first time in this century. They were unaccompanied by either ROK or Japanese planes, in stark contrast to normal Bomber flights used to intimidate the DPRK.[6] >China has imposed limits on oil supply to the DPRK and stopped buying textiles from the DPRK as well.[7] >After threats from the DPRK to conduct a hydrogen-bomb test in the Pacific, Tillerson replies that all military options remain if the test goes ahead.[8]

Yesterday just hours after Russia revealed the US aiding IS photos and US troops inside IS compounds. Something the Pentagon isn't commenting on.
An alleged "IS Mortar barrage" hit the field HQ at Dez with great effect killing the General, 2 colonels and multiple SAA soldiers.
sept 5, deir er zor area, isis/sdf/us spec forces mortar barrage on saa headquarters in area.
possibly random shelling, possible spec ops directed
subsequent to that event the russians published satellite photies of us spec ops troops entrenched in isis territory.
no observable traces of combat seen. thus explanation is that sdf & usa are cooperating with the remainders of isis, because the sdf and specops guys did not fight their way to those positions.

>ISIS claims two Russian officers killed in Deir Ezzor BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:10 P.M.) – The so-called Islamic State (ISIS) alleged on Monday that two Russian officers were killed in the eastern part of the Deir Ezzor Governorate.
According to the terrorist group’s official media wing, Al-‘Amaq, the Islamic State forces killed two Russian soldiers at the town of Mazloum, which is located along the eastern bank of the Euphrates River.
The terrorist group has not released any proof to corroborate their claim nor has the Russian Ministry of Defense addressed the allegation.
ISIS typically releases photos of the fallen Russian soldiers to validate their claims; however, they have yet to do so.
