I've started watching Prisma Illya recently, and I'm pretty disappointed so far. I'm a huge fan of Illya, and that girl is NOT Illya. She's just a generic clueless loli. No wit, no intelligence, no grace, she's a completely different character. And the plot itself seems teeth-grittingly generic as well.
Does it get better, or should I just abandon all hope now?

To be honest, I've never really understood the point of AU fics where the personalities of the characters are completely different.
