I used to be into it. Even taught myself to dj vinyl, sample and produce beats and record.
But making beats means listening to tons of different kinds of music (loads of obscure vinyl, genres from jazz, funk, rock, classical, everything). You find the essence of these songs and craft it into hip hop, but in the process you realize how GOOD that music is. You realize that hip hop is ultimately nigger-tier bullshit. It's a major redpill. Because of this I'm super picky about rap music, and usually will only listen to the oldfags (DITC etc).
