Typical moeshit, cute girls doing cute things, fun things are fun.

Just like anything made by Ikuhara, I could only manage to get a few episodes in before completely giving up.

Nigga I dont like it either but this is just straight up wrong.

I got about halfway through the first episode before I confirmed that it was not thinly veiled smut, it was just smut.

It's not terribly fair to say it based on just that much, but from the style and plot presented to me by the first episode I get the feeling I would not have liked it at all had I given it more of a chance.

It was shit gao gao

Didn't it blatantly plagarise some french movie's visuals?

I mean, there's drawing inspiration from and then there's just plain copying.

Boring.

Worst Ikuhara because I felt like I understood what was going on.

Explain it then.

...

>Worst Ikuhara because I felt like I understood what was going on.
I enjoyed it for the exact same reason. I prefer metaphors as window dressing rather than his usual method of putting the whole damn plot in them.

It's the only Ikuhara show I didn't enjoy.

Basically what said.

SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCK

>three main girls have zero romantic chemistry
>Kureha and Ginko forced to be lovers anyway
>best girl, and only likable main, gets treated like shit.
>We're supposed to hate Butterfly even though all she's doing is hunting down serial killers
>Most of the villains are scared high school girls that desperately don't want to die.
>The rest of the villains are bears that manipulated scared high school girls in order to kill them dead.
>nearly everyone dies

Yuri Kuma could've been great if its characters were given some breathing room to develop. Instead, it's a wild ride starting with episode 5.

needed 2 cour

Characters feel bland, hardly have chemistry with each other, and Morishima's designs look bad in the anime. I don't know how much of it is intentional or what it's supposed to mean, but I think these are the fundamental issues that made it a lot less enjoyable than Penguindrum or Utena.

Worst of all the Ginko was an unemotional autist at all times. Why was I supposed to care.

>nearly everyone dies
Well, no shit. Anybody who thinks that Kureha and Ginko didn't die are probably stupid enough to think that Sumika and Kumaria are the same character.
#BearLivesMatter

>ITT people who only watched the first episode or two give their unwarranted opinions

The fuck is with this thread? YKA was a bit slow at the beginning but everyone who stuck around to watch the whole thing loved it.

Bear detected

I loved the last episode, Ikuni pulled a great Penguindrum-tier ending out of his ass, but I don't remember it ever really improving before that

Underrated tripfag.

sauce?

I wouldn't doubt it. Always seemed fishy to me that it took less than ten years for Ikuhara to come up with a new story.

Decent soundtrack though. Made me a Bonjour Suzuki fan.

>his usual method of putting the whole damn plot in them.
what

It included imagery from The Shining, Suspiria, and Psycho, but I've never heard of any French movie. It isn't plagiarism in any case

What the anime was trying to say was pretty much on your face, don't get why some people didn't understood it. It was pretty sexy.

Pacing felt off at certain points, some parts seemed rushed.
I personally liked it a lot because I'm a big fan of Ikuhara's style and presentation which this show did well, even if the story itself wasn't as good as Utena or Penguindrum.

It looked nice and had some decent music, but it wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be. I really wanted to like it, but it wasn't that great. It was still fun to watch with Sup Forums's other Ikuharafags though. Shabadadoo

>1280x720

How? An uncompressed .bmp could fit that in 2.7 MB.

I will not allow MPV to compress my bears in any way.

What kind of fucked stupid logic is that? You weren't even watching the BD release.

That was a joke, I haven't realised before that MPV takes such large uncompressed screenshots on my computer. I will fix that soon.

masterrrpiece dood

Yurizono best girl.

One of the best shows of 2015, if not THE best.
I bet none of the haters ever saw Suspiria. Essential viewing if you want to understand what Yuri Kuma is about.

It's a great series. It's quite charming visually, the music was spot-on most of the time, the character design is cute AF and Ikuhara's storytelling and MUH SYMBOLISM is 10/10. Watch it.

Also, Hitchcock's Psycho, but I guess that's a no brainer.

I had fun watching it. All I can remember is something about lesbian bears fighting in the Winter War tho

...

...

Brain's Base would have done a better job than Silver Link.

I must rewatch this

I liked how, at the end of the series, after so many deaths the high school girls finally became militarized and stopped tolerating some of their number being murdered all the time.

I really liked Yuri Kuma and have not seen Suspiria. Seems good, downloading right now.

It would have been no different. Still the same old Ikuhara doing Ikuhara things.

It was AOTS.
Though it was a pretty weak season overall.

It need more scenes with naked girls

Someone has that yurimilk picture with Mitsuko?

Masterpiece.

It sounds like you didn't even watched it.

It's really good. After maybe episode 4 I couldn't stop watching.

We had Maria, Death parade, Saekano, Kamisama and Jojo part 3 so no.

Even Rolling girls and Food porn were better than Yurikuma
