Homosexuality is a perversion and is only caused by exposure to and experience of homosexual stimuli. This is much the same way people develop fetishes.
Bisexuality and homosexuality are two sides of the same coin. Whether one retains the attraction to females is dependent upon exposure to them as sexual stimuli. You have got it reversed as well, homosexuals suppress their straightness because often, they are raised with all female families and they do not want to sexualize females as a result.

And I suggested the total opposite, that all homosexuals are initially bisexual and they suppress their "straightness" because they often come from single mother or all female households.
All of this can be explained if you consider human sexual motivation in a behavioralist context (EG--'classical conditioning').
