That's not too bad, I thought it was gonna be a total flop

>part 1
>aka sequel bait so blatant they're not even trying to hide it
>expecting people to pay for a movie they're outright told isn't finished

Gotta love it

Doesn't the BD come out late july? I checked cdjapan recently.

I don't even care about it anymore now that it's 3 movies. I can't listen to banter for 5 hours and stay interested. Should have just been 1 or an OVA.

> I can't listen to banter for 5 hours and stay interested
Then maybe you shouldn't be watching this show

Well, first off you're looking at the estimates like a faggot instead of waiting for actual numbers. They also tried to milk money by giving out stories in theaters about RRG meeting other Nisio protagonists. And finally, it's a 3 part series, of course the sales are gonna take a hit.

So by the end the sales will be 120k because all they did was chop one movie into three parts and charge full price for each.

I watched everything besides Koyomimonogatari. I just don't care anymore.

And you haven't read kizu? You got brain problems or what?

>60 minute movie

The KissShot crying scene was disturbing and felt out of place.

It takes longer to read a book than it does to just watch an adaption of it and I don't like it enough to spend the time.

But you have time to spend bitching about it.

You know you are a retard right.
Three movies = 3 hours of animation
One movie = 1 hour of animation
It's a flop, Monogatari is dead.
41K are shit sales for this.

>1 hour Pornogatari movie = 41k sales
>1 hour Girls und Panzer movie = 184,934 sales
DEAD

>Everyone saying this is the best story since season 1
>Has shit sales
And people keep telling me this is the one that will sell the most, the one that will bring Monogatari from dead

>they're only selling 10 times as average
>DED
ok

did you forget that GuP's studio still lost money

gup movie is over 2 hours long

>tv series still sells over 20k
>dead

pick uno you esl nigger.

It's almost like it was some sort of momentous encounter with the supernatural.

how does anime even work?

>40k is a flop
>Monogatari is dead
>Owari still sells more than 20k average after all these seasons

I know you like to hate, but now you're just embarassing yourselves.

Not him.

But I'm gonna start reading Kizu because you posted Salem.

They waited too long to do kizu

>yourselves

It's the same faggot.

kizu bd comes out on 27.7?

I don't know much but it depends on the budget and all the parties and how much money they take. The studio isn't getting enough leftovers from the success.

I'm not hating on Kizu, but that I agree with, also splitting it into 3 parts. 40k is still great though.

People are (rightfully) mad about being jewed and forced to pay three fucking times for what could and should have been one proper-length movie. I fucking love the monogatari series but even I'm not okay with deliberately splitting something into three hour long parts to milk more money out of a fanbase. Even 2 parts would have been acceptable but this is too much.

it's not like you'd buy anything anyways, what does it matter to you

It got to US/German theaters. Plenty of people on Sup Forums bought tickets.

did you? also I highly doubt thicket prices are the same as BD prices

>thicket

THICK

you know how I get down

Where the fuck do you even read it?

that's not very polite

Yes, I bought a ticket. It was a good time.

Legally purchase it from Viz-sama, of course.

meow

same

You're projecting. I saw the movie in Japan and would gladly buy the BDs if I didn't have to do it three times to get the full movie.

How long was the first part?

so selling 2 episodes / BD for full price is fine for a tv series but when it's a movie then it's suddenly horrible, okay

Amazon. Both the story and physical book quality are worth the money.

Or download the pdf, but pfh who would do such a thing?

You mean the one that reads like absolute shit?

The fantranslation is pretty decent.

>It takes longer to read a book than it does to just watch an adaption of it

I don't think it took me more than 6 hours to get through Kizu, and I'm not a native English speaker.

With anime they just doing what everyone does, with movies it's competing with much better priced content, and trying to sell to a larger overall public.

>so selling 2 episodes / BD for full price is fine for a tv series

It isn't, which is why TV series BD sales are not comparable to movie BD sales.

it's anime though
well tough shit, that's how the otaku market works

This whole series went to shit a long time ago. Dropping it was one of the best decisions I've made.

It was entertaining in the beginning, but it hasn't innovated or kept things fresh since then (with respect to itself, not the industry). It's always the same plot, banter and fan service ad infinitum that was introduced in the beginning. This is the curse of long running series: they never can overcome the standard they set for themselves in the beginning.

I doubt all 3 will even make it to 150k, not even 3 releases will beat GuP.

nah I think you're just a pleb, the theme of the show is completely different in owari than it was in bake, or in nise, or any of the second season but that's probably way beyond your level of comprehension

when will i be able to see it?

>Viz

This

>I can't listen to banter for 5 hours and stay interested
This is why I can't finish Hana. But this is motherfucking Kizu. Edgelord Araragi, Kiss-Shot in all her forms, Oshino, vampire hunters, cat with braids and glasses as a bonus, what's not to love?

Bake wasn't the best in the grand scope of the series. Only Crabfags think otherwise.

Buy it fag.

First off, there are big differences in tone, style and directing between the different seasons. If you can't see that, I don't know what to say?
More importantly though, why does every new thing have to be innovative? Like it or not, the Monogatari formula works extremely well, why fix what ain't broke? Besides, the entire series is pretty much one main story arc that should be coming to close with the next season; if they want to try innovating more heavily, it makes far more sense to do that with newer stories or spinoffs rather than suddenly changing things in the middle of the current story.

Are they planning to animate stuff after Zokuowari anyways? Haven't heard anything myself.

It had more consistent style and animation than other parts, and I love all the scenes with Hachikuji. If you ask me I couldn't pick a best season.

>gatari meme is over
thank god

>the Monogatari formula works extremely well, why fix what ain't broke?

Because it gets stale, then you start bleeding fans. Seems to be a problem with almost all anime which is why sequels usually do worse and people accept it as a matter of fact. But it doesn't have to be like this, look at something like Game of Thrones its viewership goes up every season.

Of course it's not necessarily an indictment against the show itself since they are just adapting what they're told to. More of a criticism against nisio I suppose

Literally cannot handle the bantz

Aniplex waited to long by bogging themselves and SHAFT down with too much crap like Mekaku City Actors, Nisekoi and far too many Monogatari TV seasons then tried to make up for it by splitting the film into three parts for maximum milking all while they ended up releasing Part I as GuP was tearing it up with otaku. Had they just released it when it was initially planned it'd have had virtually no competition.

40k isn't great for a big budget movie anime.

Especially a highly anticipated one.

The thing is, since SS and Owari, Monogatari has started to have an overarching plotline, which is what it sorely needed, so the formula has changed in that aspect.

Hanekawa is now having adventures outside of Araragi. Thankfully Nisio understands that she shouldn't be the heroine from the shadows he made her for the majority of the story. Now all I need is that jerk Oshino to give her some credit and stop acting like she is the Devil, it'll be perfect.

And Araragi is facing more and more trials that are showing the weakness of his methods and how inexperienced he is in the grand scheme of things.

So if anything, it should be revitalized, not ebbing.

I think the problem may have been that shaft wasn't ready to do a full length movie back then because their Negima movie was a production clusterfuck and wasn't even finished on time. Now that they can do movies they've missed their window when bake was at its height

Extorting every last possible yen from blindly loyal fans and blatantly to the point where it gets compared to drawing blood seems like a uniquely Aniplex thing to do hence how we arrive at things like a three part film series for literally no plausible reason other than supply side profit maximization. I might be able to make an argument for Bandai but even they don't seem as douchey about their anime licenses. Games on the other hand....

>Hana
>banter
More like gloomy monologues and exposition dumps for 2 hours.

Source?

Splitting it into 9 parts.

The series hasn't really built up any new fans since it's first installment. It's probably going to pick up money from the die hard loyalist that always buy every season and that'll be it so somewhere in the 40K region makes perfect sense. Fate/Stay Night is being positioned to replace Monogatari as the main third party license cash cow to milk for Aniplex anyway and no doubt it'll be in the same boat 5 years from now as Monogatari series is when they're done strip mining all the remaining good will, money and potential from it and it's crazy fanatical fans.

Are coal girls still the go to group for this series?

OP is talking shit from his ass, we still have a month for the BD release and the preorder are like this atm:
>*71位/*75位 (*20,482 pt) [*,*32予約] 16/07/27 傷物語 I 鉄血篇(完全生産限定版) [Blu-ray]

41K would rank right up there with some of the highest selling anime series first volumes of all times.

granted it won't touch many movie releases but meh. pretty good for a late night anime which is not about cute girls doing cute things.

if anything it's the same time lenght or more, 2 episodes= 40-45 mins, movie= 60 mins

>successful anime sell 3.5k on their first volume.
>Wildly successful anime sell 10k on their first volume.
>every single monogatari volume sells more then 20k. minimum.
>Kizu sells 40k, means series is dead -

hold shit some people are just fucking retarded.

Someone is translating more monogatari LNs
mirroredtranslations.tumblr.com/
nice

...

Damn, and I thought there was no stopping the gravy train on biscuit wheels

Can't be helped though, the series' zenith were bake, nise, and neko. If anything the graph reflects my own interest in the series over time. Still haven't watched Koyomi

>literally 3 out of every 4 fans have quit the series since the beginning

Damn

I find it funny how those are just sales projections for the very first week yet Sup Forums lacks reading comprehension so some of you guys are assuming those are TOTAL sales projections.

Happens all the time

>Bake is normie bait
Wow shocking

I'm just glad I don't have to listen to it's fans prattle on anymore about how deep it is and if you don't like it you're just a pleb that needs to stick to ADHD shows like Naruto and Bleach. Now if we can just do something about the human trash heap that is the Fate fanbase sooner rather than later

Are you one of those retards who watch monogatari for the """"action""""?

No wonder they consider Bake the best.

They never were in the first place, with the exception of Nise. For everything else their subs are absolutely terrible.
TenB for Bake, and Commie for everything after Nise.

inb4 >commie

Look at any podcast discussing Bakemonogatari, a huge percentage will go on about how Gahara and Araragi's relationship and nothing else.

The disgust about Nise, insinuating Araragi was some gentleman in Bake, was hilarious. It's like they choose to blank out that he drooled over a middle schooler in a school swimsuit, and the fact he fawned over an elementary schooler over and over was definitely forgotten.

Hell, a lot of Nadeko fans jumped ship after Medusa.

Absolutely.

>Fate fanbase sooner rather than later

Brah, the influence Fate has eclipses Monogatari so much it's not even funny.

It's been over ten years now, that train ain't stopping.

The whole normie thing is another term that has lost all meaning clearly

Neither is Gundam but you don't see their fans being nearly as insufferable, just whiny as shit.

>tumblr
Kill yourself

It encompasses anyone who watches anime rarely to reddit tier watchers.

I'm sure you'll call out 'reddit' for losing it's meaning as well, as if your bitching even means anything.

>soft cover
No thanks.
