You can check the detecktive conan wiki. It's tells you which episodes are filler and shit. Fillers in the beginning are pretty good though

The faces in this episode were great

Detective Conan is the japanese equivalent of Murder She Wrote. Dumb, short, extremely simple murder plots. As far as jap murder mystery manga go, Detective Academy Q is far better.

Agatha Christie is a better murder mystery writer than anyone in japan though.

but the anime is comfy as fuck, and the filler episodes dont really matter because 90% of the manga are filler anyways.

Hell yeah, user. I haven't read/watched it since a while but I remember the first 500 anime episodes were great (until the FBI "died"), then fillers and the animation completely went to shit. Satou-Takagi episodes, Mouri's lawyer waifu cases, one-two hours specials and obviously BO eps are the best.
First DC movies are great too.

I read like 200 chapters before I kinda stopped paying attention SINCE EVERY FUCKING CASE has the same pattern and only ~2% advance the main plot.

So after 200 chapters I stopped reading for 2-3 months and read another 200 or so and so on

It's on hiatus as Gosho only writes when he feels like it. Which hasn't happened in a decade now as he just throws all his ideas for Kaito in the Conan manga.
