As i read berserk mostly because of Miura quality drawing, I was dissapointed by the new chapter.
Blurs and 3d elements kills me, I really prefered when he took his time to draw. 'Monthly' releases break my heart apart

Is that digital? i don't mind that much if it means that miura will not continuously publish one chapter a month until berserk is done but it takes away from the feel of berserk a bit

I think Miura will stick to traditional drawing when it comes to important scenes.

It's not perfect, but overall I like the new issue. We are in for a very important information dump about the event that Femto triggered and we'll get to see the elf king pretty soon, not to mention the whole subplot about restoring Casca's sanity. Old man on the goat, Molda the sexy witch, the face-tree forest and the witch village are all pretty neat as well.

Some of the art is a little strange though. I'll wait for better scans but it does seem like some parts of the artwork were digitally altered. Can't say I'm a fan of that, but so far it's really minor stuff and everyone is blowing it way out of proportion. The art is still great, and that's the only thing that matters.

Regarding the comedy, well again, not a huge fan of it, but I don't particularly mind it either. Elfheim is supposed to be a safe haven (for now), that was the whole point of the trip, so it is appropriate that we have some light- hearted moments.

It will be back next month, no need to be mad

I can remember some smiles but they where always sarcastic or simply too forced to feel like he was truly happy.

I seriously can't remember the last time Miura actually drew him properly. I know Puk has always been comic relief but he had actual emotional moments in the Black Swordsman and Lost Children arcs. I'm fucking sick of every issue having several panels of him and monkeylad being whacky and whipping out the quips.

I have the same problem with Alita : Last Order.

Not sure if it's on permanent hiatus or not or whatever is going on but I religiously read both Berserk and Alita back in the day and it's surreal that both series are still going but the chapters are dripping by so slowly to the point where basically nothing is going on.

I think that in Berserk in particular Guts got on the ship or that pirate captain was introduced in 2007-2008. That's almost 10 years ago.
We got some exposition in the meantime but honestly the plot has not moved at all.
