Single payer health insurance is good for about 10 minutes before the politicians decide they're no longer going to pay different health providers different amounts of money for the "archaic reasoning" of one being objectively better than the other.

When a single insurance provider has a legal monopoly they decide 100% of the rules about what's covered. Health care providers just deal with them, they have nothing to do with negotiating them.

No, you won't. When your state budget becomes 1/3rd health insurance and higher your politicians will change to the watered down, compromised healthcare model that Canada has. Take a look at Ontario; 42% of the provincial budget goes to paying healthcare costs and another 6% of the budget goes to paying _interest_ on public debt (caused by high healthcare spending).
That's your future if you switch to single payer. You'll get the usual creeping costs associated with socialist programs and the quality of your healthcare providers will drop as they no longer have any incentive to stand out by hiring the best specialists or using the newest equipment.

As much as I would love to give you money , If I gave money to all the people who say "I have cancer" , I would end broke with a huge debt. And there is no point in donating to research a cure for cancer as even if they discover it , I imagine the price tag would be heavily inflated on it because most research is funded by private organizations aiming at profit. And honestly , with the shit I have seen , I wouldn't trust any governments on doing the right thing either. Any user who work on this prove me wrong , but would your superiors just jump in at the chance to make profit from a cure to cancer or are they kind hearted ? And if you are funded by a government , do you believe the money donated towards research is partially pocketed ? Those are my main concerns.
