Fuck your paganism bullshit.

PRAISE KEK

hail!

Praise Kek.

Praise

>that paganism was racist or racialist? is there any evidence of this? the nordic eddas (which is the largest extent works of paganism) do not show a trace of this.. the other way around, and they show many degenerate "doctrines".

HYMN XVI. Indra.

13 Thou to the son of Vidathin, Rjisvan, gavest up mighty Mrgaya and Pipru.
Thou smotest down the swarthy fifty thousand, and rentest forts as age consumes a garment.

HYMN LXXIII. Soma Pavamana.

5 O'er Sire and Mother they have roared in unison bright with the verse of praise, burning up riteless men,
Blowing away with supernatural might from earth and from the heavens the swarthy skin which Indra hates.

HYMN XX. Indra.

7 Indra the Vrtra-slayer, Fort-destroyer, scattered the Dasa hosts who dwelt in darkness. {Prof. Uthaya Naidu translates this as "who sprang from a black womb."}
For men hath he created earth and waters, and ever helped the prayer of him who worships.
8 To him in might the Gods have ever yielded, to Indra in the tumult of the battle. {the Gods of the Harappans yielded to Indra}
When in his arms they laid the bolt, he slaughtered the Dasyus and cast down their forts of iron.

* The ancient singer praises the god who "destroyed the Dasyans and protected the Aryan colour." [ Rg.V. III.34.9 ]

* The singers mention "the black skin, the hated of Indra", being swept ourtof heaven [ RgV.IX.73.5 ]

"the thunderer who bestowed on his white friends the fields, bestowed the sun, bestowed the waters." [ Rg.V. I.100.18 ]

That said, a few pagans will bring up a passage from a Hindu poem where the greatest god cleanses the land of dark skinned humans. It's referenced under the assumption that it's an aspect of the Aryan religion from the Aryan migration.

This poem was written by Adolf Hitler in 1915, while he was fighting in World War I.

I often go on bitter nights
To Wodan’s oak in the quiet glade
With dark powers to weave a union –
The moonlight showing me the runic spell
And all who are full of impudence during the day
Are made small by the magic formula!
They draw shining steel – but instead of going into combat,
They solidify into stalagmites.
Thus the wrong ones separate from the genuine ones –
I reach into a nest of words
Then give to the good and fair
With my formula blessings and prosperity.

Innangard and Utangard

>In Germanic mythology and religion, geographical spaces and psychological states are often classified as being either innangard (pronounced “INN-ann-guard”; Old Norse innangarðr, “within the enclosure”) or utangard (pronounced “OOT-ann-guard”; Old Norse útangarðr, “beyond the enclosure”).
>A place or a state of mind is innangard if it’s orderly, civilized, and law-abiding. If, on the other hand, it’s chaotic, wild, and anarchic, it’s utangard. Pre-Christian Germanic society had an overwhelming preference for the innangard, but this preference was by no means an absolute one; it was recognized that the utangard had its place as well, as long as it could be kept in check.
>In medieval Iceland, as in other Germanic societies where the influence of Christianity was still nominal or nonexistent, the distinction between the innangard and the utangard was mapped onto a number of social/political/economic/religious customs.

>Law served much the same purpose. Medieval Icelanders referred to their society as “our law” (Old Norse vár lög), a phrase which shows that they thought of “law” and “society” as two ways of expressing the same thing. Law was a psychological enclosure that separated the social from the antisocial, the innangard from the utangard.
>This is why the punishment for especially heinous crimes was outlawry, whereby a person lost all of his or her civil rights and could be killed on sight without any legal repercussions. Through the crime, the outlaw had demonstrated that he or she was an utangard being rather than an innangard one, and since the criminal was beyond society’s control, he or she was accordingly stripped of society’s protection.

(cont.)

>The distinction between the innangard and the utangard was also mapped onto the Germanic cosmology. Three of the Nine Worlds have the suffix -gard in their name, and all three of these are quintessentially innangard or utangard places: Midgard, Asgard, and Utgard, another name for Jotunheim. The first two are innangard worlds – Midgard, literally “the middle enclosure,” is the world of human civilization, the realm of fields and fences, which is at least partially modeled on Asgard, “the enclosure of the Aesir gods.” These two realms must constantly defend themselves from attacks by the giants, the lawless residents of Jotunheim/Utgard.
>This is yet another instance of how the Germanic spiritual universe lies at the heart of the physical world rather than somewhere apart from it. The myths contextualize the phenomena we encounter in our everyday lives and disclose their meaning, rather than allegedly offering a means of escape from them as monotheistic religions all too often do.

Frith
>Frith is often translated as "peace". The full meaning of frith encompasses peace but extends well beyond it, to cover a large portion of the most meaningful and essential foundations of human social life, especially as it is lived in more “traditional” societies. A full understanding of the concept of frith will show that “peace” is not identical to frith; rather, peace as we understand it is generally an outgrowth of frith, resulting from the conditions of frith being met. When frith has been achieved, usually peace is there too, though that is not always the case.
>Our forebears perceived three primary focuses or centers of frith. The first -- and surely the original -- wellspring of frith was kinship and kindreds. The second was the web of loyalty created among a lord or chieftain and his (occasionally her) folk. The third wellspring of frith arose from the relationships between the folk and their gods, goddesses and other holy wights, as well as between individuals of the folk who had come together into the presence of their deities.

Why was I banned from the Discord?

Frith and Kinship
>The idea of frith is very closely tied to kinship -- blood kinship in particular -- and then to kinship by marriage, adoption and fostering. The words frith and sib were often used interchangeably to describe the state of being of people involved in a kindred relationship, and we can easily see the connection in the modern use of the term sibling to indicate a brother or sister. The term frith did not merely indicate the material fact of blood relationship. Rather, it described the essence of the r elationship itself: the joys, responsibilities, interdependence, burdens, and benefits that characterized it.
>The word frith is related to the words for friend and free. Frith was to our forebears the "power that makes them ‘friends’ towards one another, and free men towards the rest of the world." (Groenbech, Vol. I, p. 32) In their minds, "freedom" did not mean freedom from responsibility toward others. Freedom meant being strong enough to face the evils the world threw at one and being able to overcome or survive them, and for this one depended on one’s kindred. Surrounded by a numerous kindred cognizant of the requirements of frith, the Germanic man or woman was well-armored against all the misfortunes the world could cast, whether poverty, threats of violence, legal troubles, or any other difficulties. Not woven into a web of frith, a lonely wretch had nothing either material or spiritual upon which to rest his or her life and welfare. This also was the bitter lot of thralls.

Im liking your numbers friend

(cont.)

>The term frith captured a huge proportion of everything good that could exist in life, and all of these grew out of the roots of the kindred itself -- the kindred relationship. Lines from Egil Skallagrimson’s moving poem about the drowning of his son express this sense of the unity of the kindred: "Cruel was the hole the waves tore in my father’s kin-fence; unfilled, I know, and open stands the son-breach torn in me by the sea." The oneness of the kindred was no mere conceptual ideal; it was implemented and practiced as a matter of course in everyday life, and the name for this many-faceted thew was frith. "Frith is something active, not merely leading kinsmen to spare each other, but forcing them to support one another’s cause, help and stand sponsor for one another, trust one another... The responsibility is absolute, because kinsmen are literally the doers of one another’s deeds." (Groenbech, Vol I., pp. 42-43)
>Women indeed acted as peace weavers, not only within the kindred but also in the community, and inspiring examples of their deeds can be found in the literature. Yet they also acted against peace, as we would see it today, by being the keepers of the family frith and honor, and ensuring that vengeance was taken when one of their own had been injured. The Icelandic and Germanic Sagas give many instances of women who prodded their more peaceable or just lazy or feckless (in the mindset of the times) menfolk into taking vengeance when the men perhaps would not have bothered if they had been left alone. The difference between our times, our mindset, and theirs is profound in this respect. They regarded the courageous act of marrying into an enemy clan as frithweaving, and so would we; but they also saw vengeance against those who broke through the boundaries of frith -- outsiders who damaged their kindred in some way -- as being properly supportive of frith, which we would not regard today as "peaceful" behavior.

Frith and the Bonds between Leaders and Folk

>Frith between lord and man was expressed much as the frith of kinship: there were mutual obligations and benefits, including the requirement for the man not to raise hand or voice against his lord, and the lord not to punish or deprive his man and the man’s dependents unjustly. In essence, the lord owed the man his livelihood, while the man owed the lord his life. Under the social conditions present in those times, neither could survive safely or comfortably without the other; thus the importance of making and maintaining bonds of trust and frith between them. This was often strengthened by the fact that there were kin relationships within these groups, also among the folk, and between chieftain/lord and some of the folk. This gave a double foundation for frith: it was both oath-bound and kinship-bound.
>The men sworn to a lord were likewise expected to keep peace and trust among themselves. Anglo-Saxon literature is rich in references to the healldream, the "joys of the hall", where the deep frith between members of a war band or other oathed group , seated blithely in the lord’s hall, closely matched the gladness and security ideally available within the homes of families and kindreds.

(cont.)

>The greatest possible disgrace was for a man to leave the battlefield where his lord -- his "ring-giver" -- lay dead, unless vengeance had first been taken for the lord’s death. All of the heroic epics, both historical and legendary made much of this obligation, including Beowulf and The Battle of Maldon. Famous lines from the latter, spoken by Byrhtwold on the battlefield at the death of his lord Byrhtnoth, capture the passion of frith between man and lord:

"Hyge shall the harder be, hearts the keener,
Mod shall be greater, as our main lessens.,
Here lies our ealdor, all hewn about,,
Good man on the ground; ever will regret,
He who from this war-place thinks to wend forth.
I have broad wisdom; I will not leave,
But by the side of my lord,
By so dear a man, think to lay myself down."

Frith between Folk and the Holy Ones

>Frithful behavior was a highly important sign of respect and troth on the part of our forebears toward their gods, goddesses, land-wights, and their ancestral dises and alfs. This is attested to by the prevalence of "frithyards" found everywhere tha t Germanic peoples settled, and often mentioned in the literature of the time.
>Both temporary and permanent frithsteads were used by our forebears. Temporary frithsteads were usually the Thingsteads, and frith was kept there both to honor the deities and as a practical matter, in that the business of the Thing could not be properly conducted if frith were not maintained. Permanent frithsteads, often called frithyards, were generally associated with a temple, shrine, or other holy spot such as a well or a sacred tree, or a boulder housing a local landwight. Frithyards were hol y not only to major deities, but also and perhaps even more commonly, to "minor" holy wights such as landwights, well-maidens, or family forebears (dises and alfs).
>Holy beings of our folk, both high and low, for the most part love frith and demand it from their followers and their human neighbors. Heathen landwights, well-maidens, woodwives, house-wights, and most other kinds of nature spirits dislike strife and tend to leave their steads, taking their mains and holiness with them, if subjected to too much strife, bloodshed, or lack of respect on the part of quarrelsome or greedy humans. They will also leave if they feel betrayed by their human friends and neighbors, showing that frith comprises not only absence of strife, but also ties of loyalty.

Does anyone have the full version of this?

> I am against throwing 2000 years of european christianity into bin because muh stronk pagan gods
Fair enough, don't do it then, this general is only for those who are interested in Paganism, if Christianity rocks your boat then keep being Christian

i like both

Same, which of the two do you like more?

This. People need to realise that the most important thing is to save the white race. We'll solve our differences afterwards.

Christianity, life in suburbia is far too removed from the life of the old European Pagans for me to be able to really relate to it. And besides, European Paganism lived on through European Christianity, the European converts maintained their ancient traditions and culture within the new faith, and Christianity was very much moulded by the Europeans. My favourite periods of history are pre-Christian though.

How about you?

Pretty much the opposite, I live out in the middle of a rural area so it feel much more suitable for me. I turned away from Christianity mainly due to the fact that despite trying to be devout many times, I only ever followed it because that's what everyone else did. I've always loved the churches, the simplicity of worship and the clear distinction between good vs. evil but other than that, it's always been deeply uninspiring to me. Not to mention it's far too close to Judaism for my liking and adding to that, I'm a nationalist, so for me following my native gods is merely a logical conclusion

Fair enough, I'm agnostic but have been moving towards Christianity for a little while now, and I'm having difficulty sorting out the hippy Jesus Christianity from the Christianity under which Europeans conquered the entire planet. I can't see Jesus being for nationalism or patriotism, and yet it seems that its alongside the death of Christianity in the modern world that we've abandoned our national borders and the desire to maintain ourselves, I can't figure it out.
I get the impression there's a lot of misinterpretation of Christ going on in the modern world, or at least I hope there is, because if returning to our Christian heritage won't save us, I don't believe there's anything else that realistically can.

What kind of Pagan are you? Do you genuinely believe in the mythology and the Gods as being true?

here you go lad
good posts.

That's fair enough, what's important is that you find find one that gives you strength to draw from in these dark, shitty times
> I'm having difficulty sorting out the hippy Jesus Christianity from the Christianity under which Europeans conquered the entire planet. I've never understood this line of thought honestly, I haven't hear of Jesus going out and saying we should strike out and form empires, we did it because it's in our nature to do so
> I can't see Jesus being for nationalism or patriotism, and yet it seems that its alongside the death of Christianity in the modern world that we've abandoned our national borders and the desire to maintain ourselves, I can't figure it out.
True, there's something very globalist about Christianity, not to mention that a majority of Christians aren't even white
>alongside the death of Christianity in the modern world that we've abandoned our national borders and the desire to maintain ourselves
True, though again, I feel that's just another symptom of our decline/demoralisation rather a direct result of abandoning Christianity. I'd don't know what it's like where you live but the here the Church has become fully pozzed
>What kind of Pagan are you? Do you genuinely believe in the mythology and the Gods as being true?
As an Englishman, I started out with Germanic paganism, but I've now thought about exploring Celtic, and yes, I do think the gods exist, the fact that they were sincerely worshiped for thousands of years tells me all I need to know
