I've been trying to put myself out there, sort myself etc. and every time, literally every time, feminism has come up with a girl I'm talking to, I say "I think that there are physiological difference in the makeup of the sexes, but those difference shouldn't determine hierarchies so much as suggest complimentary dynamics" or something like that. Not a single woman has refuted this, they agree. A straight, career-focused woman on average still wants to feel some security from her partner. Not every one wants the man to necessarily make more than her, but they don't want to support a man. And they want to know that if a mugger approaches the two of you in an alley that she isn't going to die.

Sex is also very important. I've been with women who have not experienced an orgasm after 3+ sexual partners, and giving them one regularly basically feeds the meter of your relationship.

I'll elaborate on the dude a little bit. He isn't very attractive and is overweight. According to his sister in law (my coworker) he is dumber than a bag of rocks. His wife is kind of attractive, so in his mind it's as good as he's going to get and so he is somewhat content with having her Monday-Thursday because hey, he gets her more days than they do, even though he is probably sleeping on the couch while she sends nudes to her boyfriends (speculation). He also always wanted to be a dad, so her kids give him some of that fulfillment.

No excusing the guy, but that could be his thought process.
