Can we agree that Okada is a total hack? If she keeps getting work after Kiznaiver and Mayoiga, then this industry truly has no hope.

Can you tell me which anime writer isn't a hack?
Which anime writer isn't considered a hack by Sup Forums?

>Can we agree
stopped reading right here.

It just gets worse as it goes on.

I think Kiznaiver is her worst work in years....what a disappointment.

>Kiznaiver is her worst work in years
You misspelled Mayoiga.

I CANNOT even fathom how can she still find work.
Piece of shit.

>The Book of Bantorra
>Gosick
>Blast of Tempest
I genuinely liked these, though Tempest did drag on for a bit right before getting Hakaze off the island.

>not a single decent series
What a fucking surprise.

I never said that Okada was never good. She WAS good, but has completely lost her touch after Nagi no Asukara.

Tempest was based on a manga though so that doesn't count.

Hey, Iroha was good

Oh boy... wait until you see Mayoiga. It was so awful that most of the people who watched it dropped it after the first episode.

So was Black Butler and that got fucked up early on.

What is it lately with all of Okada's characters being unlikable sperglords?

Tempest wasn't even particularly good, I liked the initial set-up, but it only got worse after Hakaze got rescued from the island.

That's partially bullshit. People only kept watching beyond the second episode due to the memes spawned from the first one.

Still looking forward to new WIXOSS in the fall.

But no, I gave up on Okada after BRS. I still watch her shows, but I don't very much expect them to be good.

Okada cycle:
Grimderp autists start hyping up an Okada show even though Okada never writes grimderp.
Show doesn't follow their fanwank downer ending.
People whine about wasted potential because it betrayed their expectations that had no basis in reality.
Repeat.

>People whine...because it betrayed their expectations that had no basis in reality.
It's amazing how common this is.

>script
>screenplay
>series composition
>scenario
Script is the most important, right? Or is it screenplay?

I unironically enjoyed Mayoiga more than Kiznaiver even though the latter's direction was superior.

>most of the people who watched it dropped it after the first episode
More like most of the people who watched it fell for the memes and baits and kept watching in hope of epic twists until episode 12 arrived and she gave us one of the worst endings ever.

Series composition is the most important.
Giving someone's a script from some episode and telling them to guess the writer is pretty much impossible, most of them have no style to their writing.

Absolutely, after kiznaiver never gonna watch any more of her shit ever again.

Okada worked in good anime in the past.

This season worked in 2 bad anime and sales reflect too.

>even though Okada never writes grimderp.
>grimderp
I'm not sure what this is, but Okada does often write stories that involve the emotional destruction of one or more characters. It's kind of one of her things.
>whine about wasted potential because it betrayed their expectations that had no basis in reality.
Expecting a story to be good isn't based in reality?
I suppose perhaps for an Okada-written anime it's not, but if people aren't that familiar with her, this is hardly something to say they were being unrealistic about.

>Darker Than Black: Gemini of the Meteor
THAT DOESN'T EVEN EXIST

AAAAAAARAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGG
I'M SO MAD

FUUUUCCCCCKK HER

How does she work so much?

I mean that she never goes for the kill 'em all ending. The main characters overcome the emotional damage and have a bittersweet or happy ending. Meanwhile, people in the thread get butthurt that their "what if character x snaps and kills everyone" theory was wrong.

Nagi No Asukara was good, for the most part.

You guys overreact so much. It was okay.
