You can't compare movie sales to series sales.
Eva 2.22 sold almost 500K in BDs alone, which is more than double of the highest selling series ever (which is NGE coincidentally).
Go look at Disappearance, Madoka Rebellion or K-On movie, and you'll see they sold double what the TV series sold.
Movies sell way more than TV stuff, that's the reality of things.

There's nothing more to tell about TM's other works. Fate is easy, just make a new war and you have a new series. It's extremely easy to make money out of it, anyone can write a new war and Nasu doesn't even care about it. You don't need to write good characters or stuff like in F/SN since the readers this is aimed for don't care about that.

KnK/Tsukihime are the only other stories TM has, but those only work because of the characters.

You can't make Tsukihime spin off without connecting it to the original, you can't make a Kara no Kyoukai spin off without connecting it to the original. People will tell you to fuck off if you don't put the same characters, because those works are based around a group of people.

Fate is like a shonen manga that can be rehashed eternally because all you have to do is tell a story about people fighting with different servants, just check F/Apocrypha, it's basically F/SN with wacky shit going on. The main couple is LITERALLY a rehash of Shirou and Saber and the end is literally the same at that, which at the same time is a rehash from Arc's route.

Go to /fgog/ and you'll see what the Fate fanbase is like, go there and check what they think about the series... Nothing, the people there don't even care about the lore or the verse. They only care about new waifus and ridiculous powerlevels.
