Kizumonogatari II

youtube.com/watch?v=M6ZhxdT4LLI

thank you kami sama for more loli shinobu

When will the first movie be on bluray?

27th of July.

Does Hanekawa drop her underwear in this part.

i think so

No, the brofist and panty borrowing will be the last party with Guillotine Cutter.

Shaft better do these parts right, it emphasizes how bro Hanekawa really is.

Jesus Christ, I hope there aren't anymore PVs after this. They sure are showing a lot for a 1 hour movie.

I know we already know the plot but I wanted the older shinobu and a few other scenes to be a surprise. Dramaturgy's swords and his running just look silly

Also for those who haven't seen bakemonogatari in a while and have read kizumonogatari in its entirety, you should watch the first ~2 minutes of the first episode.

If you haven't read kizu then i wouldn't recommend it because there are some spoilers. It's interesting to see some of the design changes they made and how consistent they were in other aspects, like thecoloring, animation style, and araragi's clothing

I hope they give us free shit again this time around. I still have my poster

Why are the designs so different from the series?

>tfw I missed seeing the first one in theaters because I was too autistic to go out and watch anime in public with other people
m-maybe this time?

Wait. 2? I thought the movie just came out. Did they not finish it with the first one?

Buy a couple shots then you fucking pussy.

IIt's a 3 parter, the first part comes out blu ray in like 29 days

I am waiting for when all three comes out on blu-ray and then spend the whole day binge watching all three movies butt naked with alcohol. I will keep my eyes virgin to Shaft's greatness.

Really? I mean, I read the LN, it's not really that long. Then again this is that series. 50% of it is probabaly scenery porn and internal monologues.

>spend the whole day binge watching all three movies
So you're going to watch them four times in a row?

Aesthetics user.

Each movie is only an hour and Shaft is doing a more complete adaptation than they usually do.

Is this going to be the more action-focused installment?

Yeah. There's going to be at least two exorcist fights in it. Going by page count, they could have three but Hanekawa getting kidnapped would be a good cliffhanger to end on.

Since this is kind of related. I've been listening to the audio book for this while going to and from work. The female voices take some getting used to, but I suppose that happens when you listen to jap all the time.

Anyways, going through this made me realize that Hanikawa was super close to being the actual Araragi girlfriend rather than Crab.

Then again, when did this story actually come out? Before or after Crab?

Kizu was published after Bake I think.

that just makes it worse then. They have such great chemistry together.

But long before most of the arcs we've seen animated. We weren't supposed to have been kept in suspense this long.

I'd say they had good chemistry rather than great chemistry. Maybe it's because afterwards their chemistry goes to shit unless you want to count the entertainment value that Ougi brings.

Imagine if Ragi wasn't retarded.

He'd be fucking Shinobu.

They have good chemistry but the nature of their relationship is pretty disjointed.

Hanekawa is so insistant to be involved in vampire nonsense because she has a shitty home life and desperately wants to have something exciting happen, it goes beyond her just wanting to be Araragi's friend, even though that is also something she wants. After she basically gets cut in half in Kizu, I figured she would properly understand the dangers of being around this supernatural shit, but she isn't even fazed by it, honestly it's creepy.

And as for Araragi's side, all he really see's of Hanekawa is this perfect human being who gives him great advice for his fights and keeps him grounded during all the horrible things that are happening to him, not to forget that she risks her life to help him without blinking an eye, even though they barely knew each other. It's no wonder he put her up on a pedestal and never thought to get into a romantic relationship, she's like a literal saint to him, something that's basically untouchable.

>honestly it's creepy
Yeah. It doesn't help that she lives like an alien/robot trying to be human.

As I recall Bake was originally short stories in a magazine that were collected, and it all sort of rolled on from there.

Araragi can't date Hanekawa because even though he's attracted to her, he's seen her at her worst. He chose Crab because she faced her spirit animal head-on

I think it's more like he and Crab bring out the best in each other, and, for a long time at least, it's the opposite with Cat. They have a healthy relationship now, but did not for most of Monogatari

Hanekawa literally couldn't face her spirit animal head on, she couldn't even remember what happened while she was changed.

Also Araragi isn't really the type to hold 'seeing someone at their worst' against them like that.

The way Araragi talks about Hanekawa to the cat makes it clear how much he's putting her on a pedestal, he legit can't wrap his head around the idea that absolutely-perfect-in-every-way Hanekawa could like him, and he does say that it never occurred to him to even think about being in a romantic relationship with her, she's too pure for that kind of thing in his eyes, he only teases her about touching her breasts because he's a stupid teen and pretty much does that kind of thing with every girl and isn't really serious about it.

Pretty sure the main reason he went out with Crab ((in the beginning at least)) was because he still saw her as a normal person who was also strong willed enough to face her spirit curse, also likely from the fact that she actually had the balls to ask him out before he could only see her as a friend.

This as well, Araragi enabled Hanekawa's 'doormat' personality too much because he always thought that was just how she was, and Hanekawa is just in general waay too into supernatural shit because of her desire for something interesting to happen to her, whereas Crab just wants to live a normal human life with Araragi, who, despite the fact that he will happily help anyone in supernatural situations, does also appreciate normalcy and wants to live a normal life as well.

She confessed in Neko Black and that was before he met Crab

Wasn't it in white where Hanekawa herself confessed to him?

Only other time I remember was in Tsubasa Cat at the end of Bake, but that was the cat who let it slip, not Hanekawa herself, and it was still after he was going out with Crab.
