How many years does it take to warrant rewatching an anime?

How many years does it take to warrant rewatching an anime?

Why does she sit like that?

...

...

Maybe her butt hurts.

1 for Kyoani shows
2+ for everything else

Varies from person to person.
Out of the ~250 (it's been a while since I've counted) shows I've seen I've fully rewatched 3, maybe 4 of them. There's lots of shows where I'll think "I should watch that again" but get at most 5 episodes in, remember everything that happened and wonder why I'm not doing something better with my time.

For reference, the only shows I've managed to rewatch were FMA:B, Ping Pong, SamFlam and Clannad. Not sure why I was able to get all the way through them when I couldn't so many others. Might have something to do with having plenty of details to notice on a rewatch, but some of those aren't particularly notable for their rewatch value (like FMA and Clannad).

To actually answer OP's question, some shows I rewatched only a few months after I first saw them and others a few years.

One year if it's something I really liked.
I don't watch too much seasonal garbage, so I have time.

About 1 day.

Whenever you feel like rewatching it. What the fuck kind of stupid goddamn question is this? I swear to god, Sup Forums, I am this close.

I've seen Madoka and Kill la Kill like six or seven times both subbed and dubbed.

>watching Kek La Kek dubbed

it's actually a lot better than I had feared
Madoka dub sucks aside from Rebellion though

For me is depends on my mood. Sometimes it is from redpilling, other times whatever. it doesn't matter. it's whether or not your want to watch it.
It's like asking "when you eat your favorite apple?"

Holy shit. Disregard my poor grammar and syntax.

I usually don't rewatch anything until I've legitimately forgotten what happens. I try to let it be a new experience, or as close to one that I can emulate. Example;

>UFO Princess Valkyrie gets shitty subs, but they're subs no less
>Entire series downloaded on the first incarnation of bittorrent
>Same with its sequels, downloaded and watched
>Literally the first anime I watched when it aired, or just after, roughly
>This was in 2005~
>11 years later, I've forgotten most of what happens

This is how I'd consider rewatching. I don't remember a damn thing except the catgirl maid that started the old meme (once called image macro); "Every time you masturbate, God kills a catgirl."

Once I forgot what happens in the show, I will likely rewatch it. I'm going to rewatch this series, now that I reminded myself of it.

See that finger? Stick it up your butt.

This. Too bad I have an excellent memory so it literally takes me 5+ years to forget minor details of stories.

Depends on how drunk I was when I first watched it.

Fucking this. I still remember crazy plot twists and shit from anime that I saw as a child. I want to rewatch Yamibou, but I remember half of the episodes almost clearly.

I don't really know why, but after I watched history's strongest disciple kenichi, I just started watching the whole thing again immidiately after. That was the only time I've ever done that.

I almost never rewatch something. I just want to increase my completed list to feel superior.

For what purpose?

Ego I guess.

From what?

The tail, I'd assume. No bunnysuit is complete without a butt plug tail, after all.

I rewatch Welcome to the NHK and re-read the novel once every year. It's like my comfy place with all the music and nostalgiac moments. It also reminds me not to become a neet.

I've rewatched Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters in Space about 8 times now, usually on long plane flights.

Thanks for reading my blog.

I like doing this too. Rewatching something 5 years after I've finished it is like getting a whole new show. I only need another 5 years and I'll be able to take another ride on Samurai Flamenco.

Until you feel like you should watch it again. Recently I've been thinking of rewatching Penguindrum, since I haven't seen it since it aired, and I think I was too dumb to understand it when I was in high school.

I never rewatch nor reread stuff.

>taking the intended lesson out of NHK
Out.Now.

I re-watch K-On! every month.

Entirely down to mood. Some shows I might start re-watching before I've even finished the first pass through, others it might be more than a decade before I decide to watch it again.

Perpetual rewatch if it's Naruto

about 3 years for anything else.

I have watched Madoka including movies 13 times in the last 5 years.

Depends on the anime. Some anime require years of breaks in between watches, others are built so that you could watch them five times in a row and feel like it was worthwhile.

So the best answer is: whenever you feel like it.

About 5 years for me. I watched Big O, one of my favorite shows like 9 years ago and tried again like 4 years ago but i accidentally skipped an episode and didnt realize it until Schwarzwald showed up like he'd been introduced already, ruining the flow of my viewing entirely.

I'm patiently waiting a couple more years to give another crack at it.

is that good for your heart? having it broken so many times i mean

Anime Movies: Rewatch whenever
Quality Anime Shows:

Only if I'm watching with friend(s)
I pretty much get all my enjoyment out of one watch, kinda autistic to watch it again alone unless you have someone to share it with

>have someone to watch with
>implying
No one around here has friends or family willing to watch anime.

I watched Sailor Moon and Love Live with my imouto
