i doubt the crust would be so thin that a nuke would damage the other side. i mean they drilled 12km deep. a nuke doesnt even destroy such a big area on the surface, so i doubt it will do so through a wall that is even thicker. however if you trust what is supposedly admiral byrds diary those living there dont like nukes
