The CNT-FAI set the historical precedent of Anarchism as a practical political ideal. Catalan nationalism is not ethnic, and it is hardly even civic. It is just an "emancipation struggle" against an "oppressive colonial power". Cuckfaggotia is not nationalist.

Catalonia also contributes a lot to Spain, yet it receives very little in return, especially considering the way the Spanish government has reacted to this referendum, attempting to block it at every turn, trampling over Catalonia's own rights to govern itself as is stipulated in the Spanish constitution. Spain is only making the situation worse through its draconian measures. It's the same old shit, and their disproportional response will only strengthen patriotic sentiment among Catalonians, especially after today where we've seen even elderly people trying to cast their vote get their hair pulled by police forces sent by Madrid and dragged off the streets and away from the ballot boxes.
Once there were a bunch of guys in the Netherlands who felt Madrid was a far from their bed show, with a king who thought he could rule us without showing us he cared for the land. Similarly, the same thing happened in a certain group of colonies in North America.
