Sup Forums has a tightly held set of accepted opinions, in-jokes, memes and content templates which are forced here and often on other boards.
You don't have to know anything about anything to post on Sup Forums, you just have to fit in. That's very easy to do.

If I can afford to buy this website, I would close down most other boards (especially the degenerate ones). They do nothing but scare off potential posters/browsers and make this website socially unaceptable to broadcast. I assume it would be easy to ban the entire IP range of anyone who has ever posted on Sup Forums for instance. That would make a containment board superfluous and retaining them would only serve to attract degenerates.
