Forced animation

Japan has shit taste in all things

Forced animation

Because good things don't happen in this world.

Overpriced blurays.

Boring show

Japanese funny

This

Forced animation

Forced thread

I don't get it

Forced animation

it didn't, it was the best anime of all time

no, it had perfect and flawless animation, I have yet to see any other anime with as much effort put into it as nichijou

watching nichijou right now and I don't really understand all the hype for this show. all of the comedy felt really forced and random like the penguin of doom wrote it. the only part i found was remotely funny was the sausage and the homework part (currently on ep3).

should i drop or move on?

Someone just post the damn picture.

It aired at like 2 AM in Japan

Form your own opinion.
Fucking tool.

You obviously have bad taste judging by your image, so yes.

Im surprised you managed to get to ep3

I dropped it halfway ep2

People here only like it because its a Kyoani show

I already made my own opinion from the 1000 other times this question has been asked. I just want to get this thread over with

...

light color, aka shoujo color

Literally not an argument.

I don't particularly like Kyoani and this show is one of my favorites.

Never seen this as a cap before.

>every Nichijou thread is the same

It wasn't like KyoAni's other works so it scared away their fanbase. It would be like if Hallmark, known for sappy love stories, suddenly tried to make a Family Guy clone. The fanbase wouldn't know how to react to it.

But it also was just a shitty show by itself.

Your opinion is junk and reflects upon you as a person. You are junk.

what does forced animation even mean

dropped it at ep8

they the comedy part was made in way too many small pieces, like putting 5 inferno cop episodes in random order together.

they should have made 2 or 3 mini stories per episode filled with jokes like szs or sponge bobe instead of this clusterfuck of forced humor

Can someone explained the forced animation thing to me?

here

That's wrong but I guess no-one cares anyway.

It means the animation was forced. Duh.

making the character look like she is having a seizure instead of giving her an actual choreo

It means redundant animation.

It's a joke, but not a funny one.

Every fucking time there's at least two retards that say this shit and lo and behold here they are.

>i have to dislike non sequitur comedy because of some internet meme
nevermind the fact that doesnt apply to the lions share of the show anyways

>he doesn't know what forced animation means either

Samefag.

It started as a meme, but has really come into Sup Forums's vernacular as pretty much .
However, Nichijou didn't have any of that.

animators' working conditions were terrible

lol

...

Why does she look so sad after eating it?

>stop pointing out facts about my favorite show you big meanie!

Pretty much this.

/thread

It fucking sucked + forced animation

...

First post nailed it

>Facts vs Opinions
>By Anonymous

>opinions = facts
You're a funny guy. You should write for late night.
Or at least watch a KyoAni show sometime.

Japan doesn't have a sense of humor.

They rather just have more Battle academy harems.

There was nothing in Nichijou that did shit like this.

shit sucked, get over it.
also forced animation.

Okay, what is forced about that exactly? Its a bit of fan service. Is all fan service then forced?

Nichijou being completely different from other KyoAni shows is not an opinion. It used to be the thing that Nichijou fans were the most proud about. But of course now that its become fuel to point out a fault of Nichijou, you are trying to deflect from it.

>someone made this graphic
So much effort for trolling. Is Sup Forums really dead?

How is that a fault, though? It's not.

Because Japan has a better sense of humor than you.

>lelouch finds this shit funny

There you have it folks

it insists upon itself

Japan loves humor just fine. They just don't buy BDs for comedies.

Can you show me an example of it from Nichijou?

Dear Anonymous,

You are dumb.

lurk for 2 years before posting

Animation that's forced

It being such a drastic shift in tone from the other KyoAni works caused it to not be as popular and not sell as well. Wither or not you consider the show to be good is an opinion. But it not being accepted by the same people who loved Haruhi or Clannad is a fact.

>Says Anonymous
You just called yourself dumb.

>Nichijou being completely different from other KyoAni shows is not an opinion.
Please tell me how it's different from any other KyoAni show. This is important.

Spoiler: I like and have watched most KyoAni shows.

It's still not a fault. I like Haruhi and Nichijou. Up until basically after Nichijou, their shows still had some variety.

Humor is too niche and the girls aren't cute enough to sell on fan service/porn for horndogs.
I couldn't tolerate the humor for its own sake myself; I grew out of that shit in high school, so I was just stuck being bored for a hour for the first three episodes.

If you're asking, there's no use explaining it to you.

Yep. Pretty much described me.

I think Sup Forums is confused about what "forced animation" is.

If you ever get a feeling that says "this is trying to be too realistic to the point that it breaks my immersion", that's forced animation.

Nichijou isn't really trying to be too realistic. It's using over-animated sequences to drive home the humor. If Nichijou had forced animation then almost every Looney Tunes cartoon had forced animation.

Are you also nihilistic? How would you describe your sense of humor?

Technically there's nothing wrong with the animation itself, but the pacing of many of the jokes is fucked up because they draw the jokes out with a lot of (albeit beautiful) animation and as a result it's less funny than if it was a more straightforward and snappy-paced adaptation.

The manga is better.

So it has no definition? Okay, I will use this knowledge in the future appropriately to call everything and anything forced. As per your definition, Monster Girls? Forced. Any Gundam show? Forced. OPM? Forced. Konosuba? Forced. Ace of the Diamond? Forced.

It isn't. Stop pretending you understand what's going on in that gif.

FORCED CUTENESS FOR FUCKS SAKE

Best way to describe my sense of humor is unconventional, but I'm not nihilistic.

This. The animation was fine to me. Its them taking a 4 koma joke and drawing it out for 11 minutes with padding that killed the show for me. KyoAni has proven in many shows, not just Nichijou, that they have horrible comedic timing. Though I guess they've also proven they can't do pacing in a dramatic series so...

it's a meme you dip

>nichijou threads are forever destroyed because of that stupid meme I forced on /ic/ and somehow it menaged to bounce to here

I'M SO SORRY NICHIJOU BROS

I think things like the deer fight and Yukko's first trip to Daiku coffee were better in the manga. But there were probably a lot more scenes, including but not limited to the camping trip, Mio vs, the goat, chan-Mio, and a lot of Mai's trolling were better in the anime.
Not to mention all of the anime original things, that were just incredibly sweet.

But you're free to have your opinion.

To be fair, Nichijou threads were shit from the start because of the Nichijou fans themselves. All these memes were spawned by mocking the horrible fanbase who act like their show is an overlooked gem.

Nah, I make these threads just for fun.
I have no idea what are you talking about.

>all these faggots thinking that forced animation has an explanation
Me and some other faggots forced this meme on /ic/ with that webm of the girl rotoscoped picking chips from the ground
More proof that you're all filthy crossboarders, like me
or guillable newfags

It was not funny.
Every joke was stretched out way to long for the sake of more incredible sakuga.
Horribly boring show, beautiful, but that alone won't sell.

No, you fucking retard. When the animators are trying to shove down your throat the 'Look at all these frames, even if it is unnatural in this kind of situation!'. That is when it is forced.

Yes, that is forced. And, as you mentioned earlier, so are all those other shows too. I get it and I thank you for explaining it to me.

GAINAX was doing that back in the late 90s.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Death_of_the_Author

I don't give a damn whether the meme was originally planned to have any meaning to it. It still corresponds to a legitimate problem with the show: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Death_of_the_Author

>unnatural
nigga it's a cartoon

>as you mentioned earlier
I just dropped here user.

It all depends on the situation. Unnatural movements and over the top motions are what people see in Nichijou as tacky.

I'm the guy he was replying to to add to his own response.

I myself prefer irony or lead-in scenarios with unexpected outcomes and/or circumstances (for example, perhaps Ainz' internal stresses in Overlord's LN, which pleases me greatly).

Nichijou's gag humor just doesn't do it for me anymore. I can understand it certainly, and used to like it, but there's no appeal in it anymore to hold my attention or tickle my funnybone as it were.

Your opinion is shit

Somehow it being a cartoon, means it cannot have realistic movements that do not throw you into the uncanny valley?

Okay then pretend I said "as was mentioned earlier" then.
