I don't understand why more people don't have bullet resistant vests. If you take the time and money to purchase a gun in "self defense" you should consider getting body armor. I got a cheap ass one of CL for 100 bucks. It's shitty and had to wash the carrier but it works. You can get one for 300-800 bucks for a newer one. I even started looking into clothes with body armor but they costs 1k or more. I think everyone should get a jacket/shirt with kevlar if they care about being proactive. Every woman, man and child should at the very least carry pepper spray for close encounters (kidnapping, robbery, rape, assault).

There were plain clothes officers there that were shot and killed. We saw cops in the video who ran around like headless chickens trying to find where it's coming from and what to do. Police can only protect so much, they have other priorities like themselves and securing an area. They won't save your life when the response time is 10+ minutes. Start being accountable for your own well being. Arming yourselves and purchasing level II body armor which isn't that cumbersome.
