There were art least 6 false reports for the tropicana alone, there were reports of an active shooter at the front desk of New York, New York, hell at one point an officer asked one of the voices for their call sign to prove validity. There was a report of a Hispanic suspect thathad an afro with weapons on his person. A total of five casinos/hotels had reports of active shooters, multiple bombs were confirmed found and a fucking VBIED. Almost none of which has been even mentioned since the radio chatter last night. We listened to it for 2-3 hours last night. I got a notification from the scanner app when it hit 2500 listeners, the highest I saw it reach was 19,500listeners.

I remember a court ruling about ten years ago where a rape victim called cops two or three times. Because each time they arrived, they couldnt be bothered to investigate, the woman was held captive and raped repeatedly.

The military has similar hero worship nonsense. Even if you were to have reverence for combat veterans they're below 7% of people in the entire active duty military. The vast majority of the veterans out there, not just from the recent wars but past wars didn't even fire a weapon in action or get shot at. Betchya they're wearing their stupid fucking "XXXXXX Veteran" hats though. I knew almost exclusively combat infantrymen with heavy experience via my grandfather. None of them were eager to talk about it, none of them wore faggy hats or put bumper stickers on the car advertising they killed people, and they really just wanted to think and talk about other things if possible. There are huge numbers of police, firefighters, and former military in this country taking advantage of undue admiration from the general public.

Its not that I think cops dont get crapped on unfairly. I get it, I really do. I just dont think the answer is to start sucking up to agents of the state absent any evidence of their collective moral value and competence to obfuscate the overwhelming evidence that there seems to be a serious problem with accountability and competence.

I think we are reaching a tipping point. This sort of cultural rift with everyone at each others throats over race issues, both legitimate and contrived ones, cant last. I dont want an over correction, because it will come back to haunt us. But goddammit, at some point, common sense has to enter the equation, and that cant happen as long as PC is still the order of the day.
I admit I've been pretty demoralized by the output of the Republican party this year. I only came back to vote for Trump, and dont feel we have been getting what we were promised. Often I dont think I will vote again. I dont even have much sense of national identity or national concept left.
But then I think of what I get if I dont at least try one more time in 2020. I dont expect the nation to heal or recover. To me, its over. But maybe we can buy time. Thats what I feel I could vote for. Its just a gamble that maybe eight years of Trump could at least buy us a little time to just maybe break the liberal left for another decade after. It will take at least eight. Without radical change, they will never go away now, and our national structure is broken beyond repair in my opinion. But something will take our place, and I would like the next generation to have as much room to work on it as possible. Maybe we can at least beat down the liberals enough that the next crop have a path to rebuild without their antagonism around every last damn corner, at least some places.
