James "Jihad Jim" Comey sued

Victim of 'Draw Muhammad' ISIS-inspired terror attack sues FBI, accuses James Comey of cover-up

>The security guard wounded in a 2015 ISIS-inspired terrorist attack at the "Draw Muhammad" event in Garland, Texas, is suing the FBI, and argues the bureau is liable for his damages because an agent "solicited, encouraged, directed and aided members of ISIS in planning and carrying out the May 3 attack," according to court documents filed Monday.

>If the plaintiff, Bruce Joiner, doesn't settle with the bureau, the case could shake loose hundreds of documents from both local and federal officials about what happened that day, and could answer the question of why an FBI agent was in a car directly behind the attackers and did nothing as the events unfolded.

>In May of 2015, Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi drove from their home in Phoenix to the Curtis Culwell center in Garland where the "Draw Muhammad" contest was being held, in a car loaded with three rifles, three handguns, and about 1,500 rounds of ammunition.

>The two never made it inside, as guards, including Joiner, stopped them outside at a perimeter checkpoint, at which time Simpson and Soofi opened fire. Because the event was heavily guarded, the two were quickly shot and killed and barely made past the checkpoint where they opened fire.

>Joiner was the only victim that day. He took a bullet to the left leg, and ISIS would later claim credit for orchestrating the attack, making it the first ISIS-backed terror event on U.S. soil.

>Joiner's lawsuit is seeking just over $8 million in damages, and argues that the FBI essentially allowed the attack to happen.

>"The FBI helped the terrorists obtain a weapon that was used in the attack by lifting a hold during a background check, incited the terrorist to attack the Garland event, and even sent an agent to accompany the terrorists as they carried out the attack," the court filing said.

>The filing also alleged that former FBI Director Jim Comey lied in a "post-attack cover-up" about the bureau's knowledge of how the attack unfolded and what Comey and the bureau knew about what was likely to transpire.

>"In the aftermath of the attack, former FBI Director James Comey lied to the American people by claiming that Simpson was a needle in a haystack' that was 'invisible to us,'" the filing alleged. "Even after it had come to light that an undercover FBI agent had been communicating extensively with the terrorists during the week prior to the event and had accompanied them as they carried out the attack, the FBI continued to assert that "[t]here was no advance knowledge of a plot to attack the cartoon drawing contest."

>The FBI did not respond to a request for comment.

There's big news coming out about comey later this month that you all will like. That's all I'll say but keep your eyes open for it.

Better not be a larper

I'm not, you'll see

This case will absolutely not allowed to be tried. It won't be exposed to air in a court room for two seconds. It will be tossed out on a technicality like standing or jurisdiction.

My instincts have been telling me this for some time.

>this happened when Obongo was in office
>leftists and their islamist allies in gov. didn't like that this event was going on
>let's 'set-up' this attack and kill two birds with one stone by using it to call for gun control and to also call for free-speech restrictions on stuff involving Muhammad (PBUH)
>whoops they killed our paties
>uhhhh... we had no idea they were gunna do it, honest

>the case could shake loose hundreds of documents from both local and federal officials about what happened that day, and could answer the question of why an FBI agent was in a car directly behind the attackers and did nothing as the events unfolded.

Trial of the century. I'm pumped

>Additional details of the court filing outline the facts that thus far loosely support a theory that the guns purchased by Simpson and Soofi may have been connected to the botched "Fast and Furious" operation by the Department of Justice, but the FBI and DOJ have been stubborn in their release of information that would clarify that issue.

More on the Fast & Furious link:

>Garland, Texas, shooter bought gun in 2010 during Fast and Furious
>latimes.com/nation/la-na-garland-gun-20150801-story.html

>Five years before he was shot to death in the failed terrorist attack in Garland, Texas, Nadir Soofi walked into a suburban Phoenix gun shop to buy a 9-millimeter pistol.

>At the time, Lone Wolf Trading Co. was known among gun smugglers for selling illegal firearms. And with Soofi's history of misdemeanor drug and assault charges, there was a chance his purchase might raise red flags in the federal screening process.

>Inside the store, he fudged some facts on the form required of would-be gun buyers.

>What Soofi could not have known was that Lone Wolf was at the center of a federal sting operation known as Fast and Furious, targeting Mexican drug lords and traffickers. The idea of the secret program was to allow Lone Wolf to sell illegal weapons to criminals and straw purchasers, and track the guns back to large smuggling networks and drug cartels.

>Instead, federal agents lost track of the weapons and the operation became a fiasco, particularly after several of the missing guns were linked to shootings in Mexico and the 2010 killing of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in Arizona.

>Soofi's attempt to buy a gun caught the attention of authorities, who slapped a seven-day hold on the transaction, according to his Feb. 24, 2010, firearms transaction record, which was reviewed by the Los Angeles Times. Then, for reasons that remain unclear, the hold was lifted after 24 hours, and Soofi got the 9-millimeter.

>Soofi and his roommate, Elton Simpson, burst upon the site of a Garland cartoon convention that was offering a prize for the best depiction of the prophet Muhammad, something offensive to many Muslims. Dressed in body armor and armed with three pistols, three rifles and 1,500 rounds of ammunition, the pair wounded a security officer before they were killed by local police.

>A day after the attack, the Department of Justice sent an "urgent firearms disposition request" to Lone Wolf, seeking more information about Soofi and the pistol he bought in 2010, according to a June 1 letter from Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, to U.S. Atty. Gen. Loretta Lynch.

>Though the request did not specify whether the gun was used in the Garland attack, Justice Department officials said the information was needed "to assist in a criminal investigation."

>The FBI so far has refused to release any details, including serial numbers, about the weapons used in Garland by Soofi and Simpson. Senate investigators are now pressing law enforcement agencies for answers, raising the chilling possibility that a gun sold during the botched Fast and Furious operation ended up being used in a terrorist attack against Americans.

>Among other things, Johnson is demanding to know whether federal authorities have recovered the gun Soofi bought in 2010, where it was recovered and whether it had been discharged, according to the letter. He also demanded an explanation about why the initial seven-day hold was placed on the 2010 pistol purchase and why it was lifted after 24 hours.

>Asked recently for an update on the Garland shooting, FBI Director James B. Comey earlier this month declined to comment. "We're still sorting that out," he said.

>Officials at the Justice Department and the FBI declined to answer questions about whether the 9-millimeter pistol was one of the guns used in the Garland attack or seized at Soofi's apartment.

In addition to the Texas attack, one of Obama/Holder's Fast & Furious guns were also used in the Paris Bataclan attack:

>Law Enforcement Sources: Gun Used In Paris Terrorist Attacks Came From Phoenix
nation.foxnews.com/2016/06/30/law-enforcement-sources-gun-used-paris-terrorist-attacks-came-phoenix
judicialwatch.org/blog/2016/06/law-enforcement-sources-gun-used-paris-terrorist-attacks-came-phoenix/

One of the guns used in the November 13, 2015 Paris terrorist attacks came from Phoenix, Arizona where the Obama administration allowed criminals to buy thousands of weapons illegally in a deadly and futile “gun-walking” operation known as “Fast and Furious.”

A Report of Investigation (ROI) filed by a case agent in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) tracked the gun used in the Paris attacks to a Phoenix gun owner who sold it illegally, “off book,” Judicial Watch’s law enforcement sources confirm. Federal agents tracing the firearm also found the Phoenix gun owner to be in possession of an unregistered fully automatic weapon, according to law enforcement officials with firsthand knowledge of the investigation.

The investigative follow up of the Paris weapon consisted of tracking a paper trail using a 4473 form, which documents a gun’s ownership history by, among other things, using serial numbers. The Phoenix gun owner that the weapon was traced back to was found to have at least two federal firearms violations—for selling one weapon illegally and possessing an unregistered automatic—but no enforcement or prosecutorial action was taken against the individual. Instead, ATF leaders went out of their way to keep the information under the radar and ensure that the gun owner’s identity was “kept quiet,” according to law enforcement sources involved with the case. “Agents were told, in the process of taking the fully auto, not to anger the seller to prevent him from going public.”

wtf burgers. bump

tl;dr summary: Obama and Holder weren't just arming Mexican drug dealers through Fast & Furious, they were also arming terrorists.

The feds set up their gun-walking operation at a gun shop that is conveniently located near the most radicalized mosque in America: the Islamic Community Center of Phoenix (ICCP). One of the F+F guns ended up being used in the Texas attack that the FBI is being sued for, and another F+F gun ended up being used in the Nov. 2015 Paris attack.

checked

>This case will absolutely not allowed to be tried. It won't be exposed to air in a court room for two seconds. It will be tossed out on a technicality like standing or jurisdiction.
But what if Trump forces the feds to take it to trial, so Obama's dirty laundry gets aired?

>>If the plaintiff, Bruce Joiner, doesn't settle with the bureau, the case could shake loose hundreds of documents from both local and federal officials about what happened that day, and could answer the question of why an FBI agent was in a car directly behind the attackers and did nothing as the events unfolded.

yfw when the feds MKUltra'd the Vegas shooter to distract the nation while they quietly settle this lawsuit

Bump

Bump for interesting thread

don't let this get buried. bump

i remember fast and furious but i dont remember ever hearing about this muslim angle and guns turning up in terrorist attacks. how did this manage to fly under /pol's radar?

I heard about the Bataclan attacks using fnf guns a few months ago. Same time I heard about the people in the bathroom getting vivisected and the government covering it up cuz muh diversity

I hope he doesn't settle and all of the feds dirty laundry is aired out.

There is no way any proof that the feds aided terroists on US soil will come to surface. The only thing that MAY happen is they admit the guns were from fast and furious, but will be let off because as son as the guns were in mexico they were out of the feds hands, so any attacks committed with them aren't their fault.
