Pretty much this. At least the show got piles upon piles of OC and multiple 1000+ post threads despite it's mediocrity, which can't be said for any other show that season.

I liked Mayoiga itself, not just the threads, although they were great too. I think that Mizushima and Okada wanted to make a B-movie, and they did.
