Claimed. I don't get the hate Claymore gets, yes it starts off as femBerserk but it quickly finds its own identity. Pretty ok manga, not anything amazing except come panels. I even liked the ending even if a lot of people seem to like shitting on it.

I think it was okay, it gave the main girls a much needed power-up. I found the choise of making Raki relevant to the plot without really giving him any relevant fighting ability to be pretty good. And you gotta look at least like that to have chance with Claire.

The abyssal eaters never even seemed strong, is the problem. I mean, we saw them beating strong people, but they just sort of did it in between cuts to other scenes, without us seeing them actually do anything impressive.

I think one of the three ex #1 died at the hand of those zombies. Isley had to die, can't have a strong and competent male around in a female fighting manga. His plan was crucial for the endgame, though.

On that much I agree, his awakened form was probably the best looking one and he went and died like a bitch. On the other hand it established the abyss eater as really frightening.

IIRC he took in Raki to make Priscilla think of the boy as hes family, so in the case shit went down and Priscilla awakened she would hesitate for a second before killing Raki and he could use it as an opening. He still genuinely liked Raki at an extent because he remembered him of his young self.

Well he thought that if Riful and Luciela worked together they might have killed Priscilla head on, if his estimation was correct he had good reason in thinking that back-up plan might have worked.

We'll never know if his estimation was correct but at least it made sense in-character thinking that. It's also true Isley thought Priscilla would have fought with Raki at human level and while she actually does it she does so just for toying with and not for the emotional attachment.

Also Isley strategy capitalized on Raki taking Priscilla by surprise after she had cut him down because she would have thought he was dead at that point. Thanks to that Claire gets a quicksword in, maybe Isley could have gone for the kill.

I don't see how they can make a second season seeing as how the ending to the first season was anime-only. Unless they decide to reboot the series or completely retcon the first season's ending, we are probably never getting a second season.

I think I'll have to reread it in a chunk, but reading it as it was translated the timeskip after the war in the north was paced like absolute dogshit. Especially when it came to fighting Priscilla. The suddenly Theresa ending also felt cheap. Like the girls didn't actually earn their ending as they summon the GMPC.

I loved it. But every mfing character was the same thing but different hair. On top of that, chapters came once a month and by the time they were here i have already forgotten about what happened. This was about the time i was reading Naruto Bleach and HxH at the same time, so by the time i get to read claymore , i had already read 12 chapters of somethibg else. I will pick it back up some other day though.
