Why are kids forced to go to school when we all know they won't remember the overwhelming majority of what they're taught?

HAHAHAHAHHAA ULOL

so they don't remember useful things, like how to avoid loan sharks, or how to maintain a homestead. Schools are build so parents don't have to parent.

A teacher once told me that the number one reason is that children need to learn to function as a member of society, i.e. deal with other people, learn respect and manners.

Also you WILL remember basic stuff like maths, reading, writing, and foundations of a foreign language. The rest you will learn when you're interested in it and plan to study whatever it is after school.

Because it gives us the basic understanding on principles of life and society. After which we can make informed choices on a future career.

Or at least that's the ideal view of it, I would have to say modern school is about cramming as many facts as possible and forgetting about it the next semester sadly.

who is the broad?

wtf i went to school to learn awesome stuff, i was already a functioning member of society because my parents were not retards.
when almost all the teachers didn't give a shit about what they (should have been) teaching, i became abusive

Babysitting so both parents can work.

Its to indoctrinate you into good goyimism

Maybe I didn't phrase that right.
It's a huge difference if you have playmates that you can stay away from when you've had a fight or behaving in school where you meet the peers you love and hate every day, so you have to deal with the situation. Later in life you can't just stay away from work when you've had an argument with Peter from accounting or whatever, and you have to learn that ability early on. You clearly don't learn that at home.

Free lunch.

It's surprising how i didn't learn a damn thing from school.

You just got taught to read and basic math the first years. Then it's just social skills.

If there was any justice in this world after like 3rd grade you should be sent off to a special school to fit your needs. You a nerd and into nerd shit? Sent to a school with only other nerds and get taught only useful shit.

Into sports? Sports school, and so on. There wouldn't be any of those classic outsiders or bullying, or at least much less if you're only around your own type of person doing things with others that you enjoy.

The theory
>socialisation
>problem solving skills
>ways of processing information

The reality
>indoctrination
>if you're lucky with the school: basic literacy

t. teacherfag

>so you have to deal with the situation
wow, like we don't live in cities but in the countryside
i understand your argument, and it may work in places like UK, NL, DE, DK etc, but in the rest of the countries people don't even work at they workplace, all they do is complain, socialize and gossip. so i am quite annoyed that ability starts from early on.

Or maybe subconsciously they are conditioned to think a certain way even if they believe they aren't being conditioned.

Years and years of repitition eventually leads to a belief system.

For example: WW2

You have no idea m8. I work full time and study full time. In addition to normal teaching I'm also head teacher for my program so I have all the admin shit to do and curriculum design. I get all my student based admin done within a day of their test. Meanwhile the casual teachers take at least a week, more often two, to complete the same work all the while they bitch that getting this shit done (which is the basis on which students move up classes) within the week is "completely impossible".

>For example: WW2
What do you mean? And wouldn't that be indoctrination instead of conditioning? I.e. like Orwell said the people who control the present control the past.

Liberalism

Because for every thousand there's one worth educating that'll make a difference and the rest keep society functioning.

They'll remember the most essential parts of the marxist indoctrinment : diversity is good, truth is bad, guns are bad, socialism will save us all, whites are evil, trannies are cool, etc.
When they turn 18, they'll be perfect left wing voters.

looks like natalie portman as a kid

bonus: i couldnt remember her name but i only seen her in this movie but i only watched half of this movie cause it was always rated high on lists n shit but had to turn it off cause shit was getting fucking weird towards the middle

BUY BUY MCDONALDS BE OBEDIENT FOR PIECES OF PAPER

So they learn Marching Looting Nigger is good and Hitler and Colombus bad

>Why are kids forced to go to school when we all know they won't remember the overwhelming majority of what they're taught?

Social Engineering.

I remember everything I was taught in school. The "you won't remember anything" meme is a myth that edgy faggots like you cling onto as a reason not to pursue anything meaningful in life.

You're delusional. The level of knowledge retention from school is notoriously low. You probably don't remember a tenth as much as you think you do.

get to class, young man

I thought they were basically the same thing in an academic sense? Either way that's pretty much true considering we keep running into the same problems that Weimar Republic or Russia experienced decades ago.

Look at the bottom two lines. It shows that people who take algebra barely perform better than the "pre-alebgra" control group. Within years after taking algebra courses, most people forget pretty much everything.

protip: watch the whole thing, then read the original script (which was trashed because it was seriously weird)
