An adaptation can be even better if they are clever in the use of music and sound effects. They can also use color at times to do things like dull the palette when they're trying to be serious. Basically, if a competent director was in charge, an anime adaptation could easily top the manga.
Just being able to hear their actual monologues in super serious voices, only to see them freak out when things go awry or their real feelings leak would be great to see.
