After E7AO came out, the only redeemable quality Bones had left was their sakuga. They lost said redeemable quality after SENot. Now they're just a sad, pathetic studio completely lacking in what they used to be. Kekkai Sensen was the only temporary tiny glimmer of light.

Yeah, but Bones has churned out disappointment after disappointment long before AO. Like, since around Star Driver, if not a bit before that. There's no denying that both were beautifully animated and it's kind of an insult to compare SD to AO since at least SD was genuinely pretty good for the first 10 or so episodes. But SD became the same old repeated shtick after then and AO, well, that speaks for itself but even as a standalone is really bad.

RahXephon, Wolf's Rain, Ouran HS Host Club, Darker than Black, both FMAs, Noragami somewhat (at least the first season), Kekkai Sensen as I mentioned earlier, and Sword of the Stranger are also good Bones anime. See? Bones can still be as great as they once were sometimes. Just very rarely.
