I actually just started watching it. I've had on my backlog for forever.
I kinda like it. It is a light hearted and funny change of pace. Almost like "Old Japanese Memes: The Anime".
I can see how while it was airing, it was a nice weekly little nugget of humor, however, trying to binge watch more than 3 episodes in a row is just, bleh.
I can see how while it was airing it did decent.
But now that I'm sitting down and watching it all in a single go, I'm torn.
It's comical at times and I enjoy myself, however its not really captivating nor has much substance.
It's like the snack foods of anime. Good every now and then when your in the mood, but if that's all you consume, it's not satisfying.

Vertical's translation and handling of the dialogue in their ongoing releases of the manga really blows all the others out of the water, and it's nice that they got it.
Some hardcore weebs will get mad they excised all the honorifics like they usually do, bar a few "senpai"s, but it sounds far more natural for it.

Nah, only way they'll go out of print or anything is if Vertical as a company bites the dust, and as they're one of the best publishers today, that won't happen anytime soon.
Also, it'll of course cost you more to get it all at once than to just drop $10 or less every time a new volume comes out, but whatever floats your boat.

mechatro wego robots are their own little series of model kits which occasionally do designs based on licensed properties such as nichijou. they normally come with standard boy/girl pilots as the concept is they're transportation modules for rich kids to get to school safely, but in this case we get the shinonome lab cast. i have them, they're awesome. the figures of the girls have to be fully painted though...
