Things are heating up in the Catholic Church. The numbers of signatures on the recently released filial correction has now reached 216 and is still growing.
Now opus dei, a very well regarded institution in the church, is condemning the correction as an attempt to sow disunity in the church, which is exactly what it's doing.
Opus Dei has been a tool of the post-conciliar Church since its inception. They would support the PERSON of the pope (not merely the Office) even if he were to tell Argentine Bishops that they did indeed have the correct interpretation of Amoris Laetitia; that it does, in fact, allow for divorced and "remarried" Catholics to return to the Sacrament without repentance and change of life. Oh wait, Francis did tell the Argentine Bishops this. >"There is no other interpretation" >pic related >literal material heresy >#301

>tfw heretic Bishops and Cardinals are already calling sodomite relationships "irregular unions" There is already a schism. The Church and the anti-Church occupy the same ecclesial space at the moment. Just wait until the anti-Church formerly breaks.
This. Can't call E. Michael Jones a "neo-reactionary traditionalist," either.

I don't mean they don't do good work as individuals. They are highly influential and wealthy and have a loyalty to the pope that is honorable yet misplaced. They, like most neo-Catholics (and non-Catholics), have a deficient understanding of infallibility. They treat the person of the pope as if he is impeccable as well as infallible; and view the novelties after the second vatican council as the work of the Holy Ghost, even as the Church falls apart around them.
Prophecy of St. Malachy is rejected as authentic by scholars of the Church. It is most highly regarded by Protestants and non-Catholics. There is evidence that it was altered at one point.
Have any fucking bishops that aren't in formal schism or retired signed it?

Reminder: Cuckolicks burn in hell.
Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
"saved through faith" well it looks like it's faith not faith plus works. "gift of God" you don't work for gifts you just accept them otherwise it isn't a gift. "not of works" well that's pretty clear you don't need to do works. "lest anyman should boast" just like the guys in Matthew 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.(Father's will is believe on Jesus(John 6:35-40)) 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. It looks like those people were boastimg and relying on their works "done many wonderful works" AND they had faith "in thy name". But Jesus still told them to fuck off. Looks like relying on your works like orthodox and catholics do has you NOT enter Heaven
Jesus said they work iniquity because thy rely on their works. Let's see what happens to people that work iniquity. Matthew 13 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Adrian Sanchez
Yes, and +Fellay isn't in schism. Can the pope give faculties for the Sacrament of Penance to schismatics?

Then I'll wait for you to throw away your New Testament. Since it was the Catholic Church that set a canon of 73 books in 382 at the Council of Rome, reaffirmed in 393 at Synod of Hippo, and reaffirmed again in 419 at the Council of Carthage.

SSPX is saving the church. Comfy
Alexander Hill
The Catholic Church is behind the ball on what's going on in the world. There is a lot of anger and a widely held belief that the Catholic Church has aligned with the globalist agenda and is shedding formerly holy doctrine whenever convenient.
Communism=ok Islamificaiton=ok Homosexualy=ok
For a traditionalist Catholic this is very hard to accept. The leader of the church must embody the church and not only choose the beliefs which are convenient to him. While historically he's not the worst Pope, there is an undercurrent of anger that will cause damage if not addressed correctly.

Yes the SSPX is only a priestly fraternity, they don't have laity. We're still catholics going to a valid approved mass by validly ordained priests. The SSPX isn't in schism and can fulfill your Sunday obligation. The Vatican only extends burden to the priests, not the faithful

Kind of fascinating. If the anti-church can win a coup against the degenerates, you may be able to attract protestants who are barfing at rainbow flags and BLM banners on their churches.
Xavier Richardson
Ive heard they are still in schism and if you have a "normal" church close by you are obligated to go to that one
Ive been looking and its all really confusing everything online is either outdated or propaganda when it comes to SSPX's status within the church
Angel Lee
Of course. This is a simple matter. Can the pope give faculties to schismatics? Because that is what Francis did for the SSPX. Which means they are not in formal schism.
No, various dioceses held various other books as "inspired," such as the Gospel of Mary Magdalene, the Acts of Peter, the Gospel of Thomas, etc. Some rejected the authenticity of St. John's Apocalypse, or the Acts of the Apostles. Some of the Gnostic "gospels" were considered "authentic" by various dioceses. Rome, in union with the Pope, decided upon the entire canon.
Fr. Martin Luther removed 7 Old Testament books because they were not found in the Jewish canon, whose canon was established without those 7 books because Christians used them. Do you do history.
Hudson Rodriguez
both very smart men.
Jace Russell
Could you explain more about sspx? Are they excommunicated or are they under Francis' thumb? What is their official gripe? Is it true they worked with Peron and Franco? What disciplines do lay people follow?
Explain to a brainlet traditional Catholic like me what this means We Schism 2.0, fuck liberals edition now?
Adam Flores
Hold the faith! This is simply the Orthodox bastards poking at us.

>what is Catholicism They follow every single belief the Church has and has always had. Their contention is about the necessity to accept pastoral, non-dogmatic teachings of the Second Vatican Council--which John Paul II himself said are "new doctrines" in Ecclesia Dei, paragraph 5b. They are in a very strange position where their order was approved by Rome, was canonical, Archbishop +Lefebvre was a good friend of Pius XII, etc. After the Council, +Lefebvre requested that he ordain Bishops. Rome approved it. Then never got back to him on a date. It seemed to him that they were waiting him out to die. He prayed for a sign. Then John Paul II performed a public act of apostasy and prayed with pagans, schismatics, and apostates at Assisi. >Read: Mortalium Animos for the teaching of the Church on this matter He took it as a sign and consecrated Bishops. He was "excommunicated" along with the Bishops. I say it in quotes because the 1984 code of canon law allows for receiving faculties in cases of emergency--if the clergyman FEELS that it is an emergency. This is a subjective matter. +Lefebvre was afraid that the Catholic religion had changed, changed so much indeed that there would be no more priests under a New Rite of Ordination, practicing a New Mass, offering New Rites of Sacraments, under a "New Evangelization" (coined by JPII). Pope Benedict XVI lifted the "excommunication" of these Bishops. The order has no canonical status; but the Bishops and priests are valid priests and believe everything the Church has ever believed. It's no wonder they are a growing order and the post-conciliar Church is bleeding members.
Jayden Edwards
BTW, want to settle all of this? Elect a Franciscan as the next pope. They're so brain damaged that whatever comes out of their mouths is the direct word of the Holy Spirit.

It means go to a Latin Mass and stay conservative my friend

This. Do your daily duty. Pray. Remain in a state of grace; stay close to the Sacraments. Scripture tells us that (1 Peter 4:17) judgement first comes to the house of God. This is a cleansing.
Eli Lewis
We're all withering under faith to the Roman Rite. The one branch of the Church that is not is the 'Give us wife nookie and we'll say mass' Orthodox.
Dylan Robinson
Anyway, I'm out. To OP; "rigid" "traditionalists" didn't cause a schism. Francis spouting modernist nonsense is what got this ball rolling under his pontificate. He is the natural result of the modernism that has infested the Church since the Second Vatican Council. There will be a schism and when there is, the hierarchy loyal to the schism will blame the "rigid" Catholics who adhere to an "ideal" that is "old and no longer life-giving" (as Francis said in his Apostolic Exhortation). Adhere to the faith of your fathers. Don't follow every new damn novelty that comes around. Don't accept anything less than the Catholic faith. Read. Study. Pray.
