There is no possible way to escape on the Las Vegas Strip. You cannot do it, no way. Not without a helicopter. And even then the airport is less than a couple blocks away with their own.
There are no cameras in the hallways, but every stairwell and elevator is monitored so if there is a second shooter then there is a recording.

When were they being fired up? I thought the crowd shooting was for the first 10 minutes. Right after, a shot through the door into the hallway, hitting the security guard. Then, nothing, no shots, for about 60 minutes until they entered the room and found his body.
