Are you being satirical here? You know that our "urban cores" are some of the biggest wretches of society. They are huddled together soaking up whatever government assistance, spare change, dumpster treasure, and crime gets that they can. I've lived in the greater metro area of 2 different cities in my adult life. All of the super successful smart people live in the awesome houses that would probably be classified as suburban or semi-rural and commute. Young professionals like myself tend to live in the outskirts of the city limits where housing is less expensive but large and away from crime. The city proper tends to have a few pockets of the really nice and expensive apartments and condos, but the majority are 8 college aged kids in a 3-4 bedroom slum, or section 8 housing, or run down ranch style houses that are in neighborhoods I won't even drive through. You also have some intersection where you have brave white hipsters trying to gentrify into those last 2 areas.

Dude it doesnt matter how many niggers and hipsters live in the shitty part of cities, businesses are run there, the rich spend their time there, and the majority of gdp/flow of capital is going through that city. Any city will dwarf a gaint swathe of surrounding rural land in terms of population. It doesn't matter what you think of urban people, cities make far too much money and have the most valuable assets and infrastructure. They will always have the upper hand.
