The "sound" of the second shooter is in fact the original shooter turning his weapon away from the window (where muzzle blast would create a loud crisp report that would echo through the strip) and shooting at security guards he was watching with his cameras. The sound being muffled by the interior of the building , couches , carpet , curtains and walls and windows would make a "distant" sound people confuse for a shooter in a different area. We have images of the door to his room with dozens of rounds through it that correlates with the burst heard in the video.
