Any source on the original video or clips from the other people recording? This is shot from outside Mandalay Bay starting about 7 minutes after the initial shots. At 3:25 you hear a single shot, and then again 10 seconds later, then nothing. Police didn't breach for another hour after this.

The shooter fired for about 9 minutes straight.
My theory is that after those 9 minutes, the security guard located the shooter and made some attempt at approaching the door.
The shooter saw the security guard on his setup door cam, and sprayed at the door hitting the guard once.
Shooter didn't know it was a lone security guy, and assumed it was full police/swat about to attempt breach, so he killed himself.
Security guard inadvertently saved dozens of lives and stopped the shooting much earlier than it would have been.
