Maybe so, but the lines of distinction get pretty blurred. There was a huge amount of intermarriage between the two kingdoms. A significant minority of the Egyptian population and aristocracy would have been Nubian and visa versa. Allot of the pharoes did have a more african look than berber, beyond the period of Nubian rule. Egypt was pretty diverse that way
