Paraguayan user here, having travelled to most south american countries i can tell you there are worse places than Paraguay. Bolivia, specifically in the Altiplano. Rio is a massive dump. However, Paraguay is not exactly a paradise

Chile is wonderful, great place to visit and live, chileans arent very big n the manners department however

I have been to Chile, Argentina and Uruguay, and all those countries like many have good and bad parts for example Buenos Aires have some amazing places but many places are shitty and dangerous, there are some villas(slums). Santiago de chile is more nice all the city looks very neat and new, Uruguay was the comfies of all three, even Montevideo was cool, Punta del Este was like the Monaco of South America, amazing houses and cars(porsches, ferraris, etc).

how high are the living costs? Is it easy to get a job there? landscape is very nice especially in the south of the country

It's a mixture. The colder weather make people less chimpy than in the tropics, but they are still lagging way behind with corruption and chronic poverty. Chile has some infrastructure that surpasses what I have seen in some parts of Europe, but you can still note the third world mentality.

All and all, yes. It is comfy. Good wine, good food, comfy people with hilarious sense of humor and some niggers here and there.

Also, land down south is fucking cheap. If you don't mind the cold, you can buy land, build a house and breed with your waifu into crunching poverty.

Tbh is you want to live a bit in the middle of nowhere for cheap you might as well move to Norway. Rural flight is leaving cheap land for grabs, although everything else is expensive.

I'm interested in moving to Uruguay for a bit to check out. Visa is really easy. I speak Spanish ok, and make my living online. Seems like a cool place, I play club rugby too and I know they do there as well just not to Argentina levels

I don't usually step outside of the house honestly, I might be ill informed about stuff, but you should climb cerro Manquehue by its southern side, best sights of Santiago you'll get. Don't forget to eat in Fuente Mardoqueo and Fuente Alemana.

depends on your profession, a lot of germans here as well, specially in the northen Chaco region, second largest ethnic minority back home. Food is average, some things like the wheat bread and milk are absolutely vile. cornmeal bread on the other hand is amazing.
Living cost? fairly cheap however it depends on how comfortable you want to be, it can be quite high, relative to the average wage.

From personal experience i can tell you Bolivia is far worse

Chile is very solid, STG is a very nice city and especially the southern part like Puerto Montt is 10/10.
Argentina is top notch, BsAs is is a awesome city and as long as you stay away from the shitty areas (as the locals do) it's a very safe city. The south is again the best place to stay if you're into /out/ stuff.
Uruguay is MVD, Colonia, Punta del Este and the rest is basically farms and cattle. MVD is pretty much bipolar central, between rotting commie blocks you have skyscrapers, worn down 1960 era cars next to a latest gen BMW M5... Overall a great city, just very quiet and not much happening there so if you want to party you simply take the 2h ferry to BsAs.
