Police in the UK, especially ones who specialise in computer crime are completely fucking bogged down with work. They're underfunded, poorly equipped to deal with computer crime and the laws are just so vague half the country is committing crimes on a daily basis. The police just don't have the resources to deal with dumb shit like this and they have to prioritise crime based on seriousness, stuff like this goes right to the end of the queue.
