Handa-kun!

Did everyone drop autism - the anime already? It doesn't have creatures but it's much better than I expected.

I fucking love it. I really don't get all the hate it gets.
I guess it was only the "not comfy meme" shitposters that didn't like it.

It was hilarious. I tried making a thread about it earlier but only got one reply, so here's your bump.

Fuck it I'm not watching it because this show is an insult to Barakamon.

Shit anime.

How so?
Barakamon hasn't happend yet so how can it insult it?

mfw I just realized it's supposed to be a prequel to Barakamon.

Dropped it halfway through episode 2, wasn't funny at all. Why the fuck didn't they just animate more of Barakamon?

Anyone else getting a lot of Sakamoto vibes from this show?

The ending adds more people as the series goes on.
That's pretty cool.
Also when does fags like this leave?

Going to check the first episode if it's really true, Sakamoto was easily my AOTS.

It's not in Sakamoto's league.
Don't worry, I won't be posting in anymore threads about the show because I won't be watching it. Enjoy your circlejerk, I guess.

Why the fuck was anyone going into this expecting Barakamon?

Did you idiots not read the manga?

It's just in the same old spectrum of 'eccentric main character has people react to him and probably maybe learn lessons in life'.

That being said, it's pretty bad because it entirely relies on MISUNDERSTANDINGS as a source of its humor while Handa himself remains as some sort of untouchable golden god. Which is pretty fucking shit because I actually want to see Handa interact with other people.

>Before Handa-Kun airs.
>This is gonna be AOTS easily

>After Handa-kun airs
>wow shit, this is not le comfy.

I hate you guys so much.

It's not as crazy as Sakamoto was, they just follow the same formula of: guy hates Sakamoto/Handa -> Tries to show him up -> Sakamoto/Handa does something -> guy now loves him. Difference is that Sakamoto does it by being ridiculously perfect, while Handa does it with misunderstandings.

Nothing to do with "comfy", it's just not funny. The scene with the two girls struggling with each other just dragged on way too long.

>Nothing to do with "comfy"
Literally everyone used that to say it was shit one week ago.
Also, how did you not find that cat scene cute and funny.

She's really cute

>it entirely relies on MISUNDERSTANDINGS as a source of its humor
You don't know what "MISUNDERSTANDINGS" means. The trope that we all hate is not a humor device. It's a drama device used in shoujo anime, like in Kimi ni Todoke. Basing humor around misunderstandings is perfectly fine.

>it's not Barakamon
>it's shit
Gtfo then.
Obviously it's not Barakamon, you should have atleast read the summary idiots

Yeah yeah yeah I know the actual context of using MISUNDERSTANDING but whatever. Handa-kun is still pretty shit though.

>words mean whatever is convenient for me because I have shitty opinions

The manga is better.

I think I'm just going to drop the show and finish the objectively better manga. There's literally no reason to watch a subpar adaptation when even the threads for it are shit.

The manga is way better. I could see an animeonlyfag hating it because it's not good right now.

This is the only thread about the show I've posted in, so I don't know what the other ones were like. I just don't think it's funny so I'm not going to bother watching the rest of it.

wtf i hate this show now

Kawafuji when?

First 8 minutes of the first episode are straight garbage, that's it. I was about to drop it by then. I kept watching because it got a bit funnier when the actual anime started.
Still I think it's not really that good but also isn't as shit as some people says.
It kinda works if you are really bored.

The more I watch this the more I'm reminded that this got an anime instead of another season of Barakamon.

And that makes me sad.

ICE ICE BABY

ok

Not a good episode but I did enjoy when stuff actually happened in the later bits of the episode but even then I have to acknowledge that the misunderstanding shit is low level humor.

I don't look forward to the next episode at all.

This, hating on comedy misunderstandings is hating on Angel Densetsu

Handa KUN is the hero we need to save anime. He's our dark knight.

I just watched episode 1, the first half was complete shit, and it was painful.

its hurts the more i look at this.

I'm liking it so far, one of the better shows this season

So I just finished the first episode, is the rest of the show going to be based on Handa misunderstandings? Because it wasn't really funny, honestly. Not saying I disliked it, but it's certainly not something I'd look forward to.

that's supposed to be the joke on shoujou shit

but Handa Kun is still garbage. that intro is straight up annoyingly unfunny.

Not the same studio. It's not like animating a prequel negates any of the main series from being animated.

then don't watch the intro

yea i know, but its still hard to look at.

hit and miss cause of the handa-gun
they're a pretty annoying bunch and take up like half of the show which is more than enough reason for me to almost drop the show
glad the handa-kun part was actually pretty decent

What a cutie.
And I don't see why people are being so angry at this show, it's just some dumb fun. Did the first half of the first episode really give give the show such a terrible reputation that people can't even enjoy simple autism anymore?

"It's not Barakamon" is the reason they're shitting the show, they couldn't read the summary being watching it apparently

I didn't find the second part funny either.

I like how dumb it is, it's not serious and actually enjoyable to watch unlike most things this season

The "it's not funny" is also the main reason.

is shit

I enjoyed it plenty but felt like that whole shit with the Handa Force was drawn out and a gigantic waste of time.

Because it's not Barakamon, even though it was never going to be. Nor does it have anything to do with why this got an anime and why Barakamon got more. People are just idiots.

Because it's not Barakamon, even though it was never going to be. Nor does it have anything to do with why this got an anime and why Barakamon hasn't got more. People are just idiots.

I always found the first chapter to be boring and the first ep is no different, the shitty intro only made it worst, thankfully the manga gets better and hopefully the anime too.

I love Handa-Kun and I also love Barakamon for completely different reasons. They did ruin the first episode by not jumping right into it like in the Manga. But second episode redeemed it.

Yeah, well, the first episode was shit, but that was because over half of it was dedicated to shit people who aren't Handa-kun

>I really don't get all the hate it gets.
first episode was really bad with that boring meta shit

When did Sup Forums get so stupid? The manga's been out for years and nobody should have been surprised about what this show is about. Where did this obnoxious anime-only Barakamon fanbase come from?

It's not comfy and it's not funny either.

...

It's okay, but I'm still pissed they replaced OnoD.

>tfw Barakamon was great but the prequel was complete horse shit

yeah but the genre is literally misunderstanding and the one guy who knows the truth who's his bro in barrack obamamon is enjoying it too much to tell him the truth.
I wish I saw the anime first, since I read the manga its a bit harder to watch even though I liked the manga.

They were there even for handa-kun threads.
"why is this manga just misunderstandings?"
"why can't the mangaka just work on barakamon?"
The people who saw barakamon just learning of handa-kun because of the anime are just latecomers.

Not watching this until the hot milf appears

Ever since I first saw her in Barakamon, everything is shit except for her

I thought she was going to show up on this episode when I saw the list but she never showed up.

Shouldn't be too long until she does.

Yeah. I wasn't expecting Barakamon (because I haven't seen it), the humor just wasn't working for me. It has a hectic, busy feel to it.

>Did everyone drop autism - the anime already?
yeah, 2shounen4me

i noticed the fashion guy's really quiet dondake and that's all i remember

First episode was bogged down with the first half.
Second episode is 10x better, but still only the level of "sensible chuckle"
Its mellow and I'll stick with it for the time being. Its kinda bland, but I needed a palette cleanser after watching so much candy-coated stuff lately.

Not muh barakamon.

Besides the first half of the episode with the 4th wall breaking was so fucking dumb.

Handa's dad is a lucky man.

Handa-kun > sakamoto-san

you are such a faggot for posting this
but I actually agree
I thought it was a fun idea until I read that Sup Forums hated it. Now I have a negative impression of it although I liked it watching it.

I want to be Handa's friend.

It's not comfy, it's not as funny, and Handa is your a dense MC, but he's not only dense at romance like most other beta MCs he's dense against all and every goodwill against him.

I simply can't watch someone who's THAT pessimistic and ignorant.

Literally me, the show

No, MISUNDERSTANDINGS humor can go too far. See: Mitsudomoe

I found the first episode very enjoyable/memorable and yet you're telling me people hate this because it's not another show? Fucking amazing

Does it really hurt so much when things hit that close to home?

A lot of otaku don't like self-deprecating humour.

How was Watamote so popular, then?
Would Handa-kun be more popular if he was a cute girl?

>Watamote
>Popular
Only with a niche crowd in the west, Japs hated it.

Well, part of that same niche crowd who loved Watamote is now shitting on Handa-kun.

Maybe, but I like both shows. Can't answer for anyone else who liked Watamote.

>No, MISUNDERSTANDINGS humor can go too far. See: Mitsudomoe
Idiot. There's nothing wrong with Mitsudomoe.

Is every Handa-kun thread going to be like this? What the fuck is wrong with these idiots?

If someone made a drinking game where each time they said Handa-kun they would be dead in ocean of booze. Seriously the amount of praising this man gets is stupid. When does he actually interact with people instead of just assuming something?

why would he be interacting with others? have you seen barakamon?

What about glasses guy I forget his name weren't they friends? So far he just watches and doesn't say shit.

They'll always be around. The same people even who bitch about this not being Barakamon will continue watching a show they profess to hate or otherwise shitpost without having watched episodes.

These will probably the same idiots who sperg out over how a show is or isn't "comfy." As if the word means anything.

How old is his mom anyway

Did his dad made her pregnant when she's a loli?

kusoanime just like barakamon.
watch non non biyori if ya fags want countryside loliservice sol.

Living the dream

Hopefully never, the point of the show is that Handa is an atotatus who closes himself off and assumes everyone's out to get him, but since he's so pretty and amazing everyone praises and respects him.

Sounds like Handa had a hard life.

His friend is the one who made Handa like that. Now he gets a kick out of seeing him act all autistic. Biggest asshole.

I haven't bothered with the anime but I follow the manga for this and Barakamon and I think the writer's a lot better at the emotional story lines than he is humour. I don't really like Handa-kun, it's just a supplement to Barakamon in my eyes.
