Just wondering, what does /pol thinks was the Shooters escape route or plan. Are there laundry elevators or some other kind of service shafts etc.? Stairs and public elevator seems stupidly naiv.

If I had to guess, I would say repelling, helicopter, or he planned to disguise as hotel staff and escape. The fact that the LVMPD was so short about this and refused to comment at all tells me it was something unique.
