I just started watching this about a week and half ago from my back log. I always put it off because "meh it's racing". Holy shit was I wrong to wait this long. About to started 3rd stage now.

1st stage > 3rd > 2nd > 6th > 5th > 4th

Fourth was borderline unwatchable. I actually skipped half of it

I think fourth had its moments, specially godfoot, 5fth was unwatchable for me.

The God races were the most retarded in the whole series. God Foot got annoying fast with the shouting and God Arm was complete bullshit even if it was somewhat indicated that he was sick prior to the race.

I sorta like 4th, but pretty much only for that professional driver race and happogahara is a pretty cool track both in the show and in the games

Battle Stage 2 is infinitely more enjoyable than 4th stage but unfortunately you still have to had watched 4th to know what's going on.

4th was boring because it was literally *nothing* but racing.

I guess that's the problem with every new character after 2nd stage though. They can only be defined by the car they drive, and are otherwise forgettable and lacking character. Only exception was the other R32 guy.

In my opinion the gods part was the only good thing from the 4 stage. That and bunta kicking the ass of takumi

It's the battle where Takumi should have actually lost because hachiroku broke down but then the guy starts vomitting just moments after.

Yeah, that was a huge asspull. Takumi wasn't suppose to win that one, even against Shinji he had a chance but against God Hand he not only broke the suspension but God Hand was clearly about to win.

How do you people not like Fourth Stage?

Maybe I'm biased because I really like Keisuke and wanted him to get as much screentime as possible.

It dragged on in some places, but it was worth it just for the end battle. Also, I don´t know what people have against 5th stage? it was adrenaline pumped, the races were awesome, and the animation was not potato anymore.
