Asuka is hot but she's a bitch. I don't care if her bitchiness is justified and she has a sympathetic backstory or whatever, she's still a bitch. Her saving grace is the kickass fight she got in EoE, but that's about it. Is she a good, well-written character? Yes. A likable one? Not really. I feel the same way about Shinji.
