October 7th commemorates the defeat of the Turks by the Holy League at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571.
Today at 14:00 hours Polska time, over 1 million Poles will meet on its border to say the Rosary to remember this victory & to once again ask Holy Mary to intercede for Europe
>Poland’s bishops have urged the nation’s Catholics to join a massive rosary prayer crusade along the country’s 2,000-mile border to pray for the salvation of their country.
>Organizers say they expect up to a million people to participate in the “Rosary on the Borders” event on October 7, the anniversary of the Battle of Lepanto, where “the Christian fleet overcame the Muslim armada, saving Europe from Islamization.”
>The Catholic Feast of the Holy Rosary was established by Pope Pius V in 1571 as “Our Lady of Victory” after the so-called Holy League won a landmark victory over the Ottoman Turks at the Battle of Lepanto.

5 Differences Between the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church

You know, you Catholics keep saying that the Council of Florence proves that Orthodox accept Catholic heresies and they're just being precious in not maintaining union with Rome.
But this is not true. The consensus in the Orthodox Church totally rejects the Council of Florence entirely. The Council of Florence cannot be considered a true ecumenical council because the Greek delegation only represented the city state of Constantinople, and the delegation only signed the terms of union with Rome because they were forced to by the Byzantine Emperor John VIII. Emperor John VIII did not initiate the Council of Florence because he cared about Roman Catholicism and Ecumenism. He was trying to get military aid to defend Constantinople from the Turks. He forced the delegates to sign the terms of union because the survival of Byzantium was under threat. Everybody in the Orthodox Church rejects the Council of Florence.
Leo Johnson
>You Catholics keep saying...
I've literally never heard the Council of Florence mentioned once on Sup Forums. But I understand your point. One person signed something, but others disagreed with the signing. If only there was one apostle chosen by Christ to be the 'rock' of unity, thus obviating any potential for disunity...
Charles Myers
>based Orthodox church >if i'll ever take the step to become a Christian this is surely what I must become >looks up the local and Orthodox church hmm...

Good thing there is a sodomite loving heretic who never became a priest to say "Everyone is saved!", burn in hell you damned cultists.
Wyatt Long
You'll find on the topics which non-Catholics attack Pope Francis (immigration, Islam etc. No theological points) the Orthodox are even worse. Difference is the media has no interest
For example:
Patriarchk Kirill for example
>West should learn from Russia to accept Muslim refugees - Patriarch Kirill
>We are very glad that finally this big mosque has been built in the city of Moscow to become a place of prayer for many Muslims who live in Moscow and visit Moscow," Patriarch Kirill said.
Well the local Catholic church looks pretty gay too
Caleb Hernandez
Can confirm that does indeed look terrible. Is there no Latin mass near you? I know the SSPX are quite big in Sweden. There's even a documentary on youtube about their presence in Sweden
I really appreciate you fighting hard to keep this Catholic thread alive. Have another picture of the mass instituted by Christ at the Last Supper
Also, the rosary in Poland starts in 45 minutes. So anyone who wants to say it at the same time, you've had your warning

I like to watch Christians and apologetics even though i'm not Christian. Proddies I mostly watch for the laughs though because they're so theologically retarded.
But Anderson is pretty fun to watch sometimes, i'm also subscribed to husky394xp
here he is talking about sodomites and the punishment God is sending Germany right now through storms >youtube.com/watch?v=BwaOxAMVDeU
proddies are the only ones who got that special kind of young earth retardation that is only found in America which is nice sometimes.

Ok. You promise you wouldn't lie, right? Because the facts show the opposite
>The US Catholic Church has welcomed thousands of new Catholics at the Easter Vigil in what the Roman Missal describes as “the mother of all vigils”.
>The Archdiocese of Los Angeles, the largest diocese in the United States, welcomed 1,756 catechumens and 938 candidates, while the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston reported 1,667 catechumens and 708 candidates. The Archdiocese of Seattle had 679 catechumens and 409 candidates, the Archdiocese of Miami had 524 catechumens and 214 candidates, and the Archdiocese of Washington reported 483 catechumens and 698 candidates. Not far behind was the Diocese of Brooklyn, New York, which reported 387 catechumens and 528 candidates.
St. Olga is nice. Interesting how Catholicism has several great women and the cattle loves jewish scum like Frida Kahlo or Simone.

I highly encourage all anons to READ THIS. Shills are trying to push the idea that the Church Fathers were pacifsts. Clement of Alexandria was NOT a pacifist. He explicitly condones just war.
Jaxon Lewis
...
Luis Diaz
Also John of Chrysostom and Clement of Alexandria were speaking about personal retaliation if you ever see these (((quotations))). It's pretty obvious that these shill memes were commissioned. Since their condoning of war is explicilt and repeated on more than one occasion. Also St. John of Chrysostom successfully purged Constantinople of Corruption, at least in the Church but also in the government. The man obviously corrected others with force not just persuasion.

It's going to be one hell of a fight, these shills are spending more shekels than usual to deface Christianity, but also the Torah, they are spaming verses from teh Torah calling Moshe a pacifist cuck saying that it is weak.

So if anyone starts sharing memes asserting that the church fathers are pacifists then share all those quotatins from them above, several are from the Same Church Fathers condoning just war and self defense, so the quotations from shills are about personal revenge and retalliation. Because St Augustine has similar quotes and was famous for Just war doctrine
Your welcome anons

I was raised Catholic, became atheist as a teenager, and now am a believer again thanks to Sup Forums and reading the bible. But no matter how many Catholic threads I read, I can never understand how people can defend Catholicism. If you read the bible, you notice Catholics made up so much shit. Confession, extra sacraments, etc. So you can post all the pics of great things Catholics have erected in the material world, and though it is awe inspiring, at the end of the day it rings hollow to me.

Reminder: Catholics burn in hell.
Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
"saved through faith" well it looks like it's faith not faith plus works. "gift of God" you don't work for gifts you just accept them otherwise it isn't a gift. "not of works" well that's pretty clear you don't need to do works. "lest anyman should boast" just like the guys in Matthew 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.(Father's will is believe on Jesus(John 6:35-40)) 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. It looks like those people were boastimg and relying on their works "done many wonderful works" AND they had faith "in thy name". But Jesus still told them to fuck off. Looks like relying on your works like orthodox and catholics do has you NOT enter Heaven
Jesus said they work iniquity because thy rely on their works. Let's see what happens to people that work iniquity. Matthew 13 41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

>We gave you the Bible so you can't read it Also if the church in Matthew 16 was actually important it would be mentioned more than one time.
Jaxon Hall
Your faith is an empty husk. Your Church is a library filled with foolish men who worship only the Book. The Spirit is not with you for you have rejected the Truth and preferred your ego.
Liam Lee
Which both mean nothing. Communion isn't very important(which youbalso do wrong because you're supposed to break bread not a cracker). And there isn't hood proof the catholic church comes from Peter and even if it did that wouldn't mean shit vecause it can still change(that would be like saying modern day presidents are the same as the goinding fathers)
Leo Morris
Reminder: James 2:20-26: But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected; and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness,” and he was called the friend of God. You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. In the same way, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.
Levi Brown

>doesn't refute anything and instead posts a different verse >also not KJV James 2 is justified to man Romans 4 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. >him that worketh not
Andrew Johnson
This comes from when a religion has to achieve things in the material realm. There is not a single religion ever that didn't get corrupted after getting power or institutions. These are the literal rules of material reality.
Jayden Martin
You have no idea, but I'm sure you will find your way. Keep digging. Orthodox and RC are the Church. AND THE GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST IT.
Sorry friend, no intellectual discussion will succeed. It's like trying to teach someone the difference between Love and love. I believe all who knock shall enter. It's just you'll have to knock louder and harder. Alternatively you can squeeze every syllable from the testament into your preferred shape.

Please, Prods >Catholics think genuine confession in which a person is beside themselves with guilt for offending God means they will be given sufficient grace from God to amend their lives
You know what else you won't read in the Bible? >Anything not in this book is forbidden. Seriously, Sola scriptura is important.
Ironically, sola scriptura is not mentioned in the scripture. It does, however, say hold the traditions which you have learned, whether BY WORD or by our epistle.'

Here ya go, lad. 3 videos (one long one) that explains the fall of the Roman church, how Napoleon took the Bishop of Rome prisoner and wounded the church, and how Daniel and Luke both described it and it's relevance in the end days.

Ever since Vatican II the church has been kike influenced. Before that we had latin masses beautiful tradition and song. The orthodox church has retained this, but I fear shlomo will get them next.
Josiah Price
I wouldn't say the difference is so great. Remember, the Catholic Church views Orthodox as schismatics; not heretics. But if you want to see how the Orthodox have changed over the years since they broke from Rome, this explains quite a lot
They've also undergone changes to the liturgy. There are, after all, a group called the Old Believers who stick to how they believe Orthodox liturgy should be said
Carson Wright
Yes that's how it works. You should try reading the Bible sometime.
David Robinson
He bashes other ones so people see that they are wrong. Also he doesn't hate heretics he wants them to get saved.
Also the Bible never says racemixing is bad.
