Not really. He has very pleasant voice, it's just that people aren't able to appreciate seiyuu unless they showcase big range or shout. As stupid as SAO was, listening to the seiyuu certainly wasn't something I regret.
Now that I think about it, this could be part of the reason why Kirito achieved higher popularity than other characters who shouldn't be less likeable.
