- Sends his girlfriend to the Phillipines and wires $100,000 to that country before the attack
- Brings a camera system connected to a tablet and orders room service just before the attack so he can use the cart to conceal the cameras
- Brings a sledgehammer and tape and tapes the windows before breaking them with a sledgehammer to control how they break (shooting through them won't cause them to break properly)
- Sets up multiple firing positions
- Has a glove for his left hand so he won't burn his hand on hot barrels while firing (called a gunner's glove)
- Calculates ballistic information like bullet drop and wind drift and writes it down on a piece of paper
- Buys 50 lbs of binary explosive Tannerite and fills his car with it
- Begins shooting just after 10pm which is the time they close most of the secondary entrances/exits to the venue and leave only the main exit open
- Has some kind of unspecified escape plan

- Hires a hooker and brings her into the room before the attack
- Brings 23 different guns (how many can one man use at once?) which increases risk of discovery
- Uses bullshit toys like bump fire stocks instead of real automatic weapons (he can afford NFA registered belt feds and you cannot aim bump fire effectively)
- Has scoped weapons with bump fire stocks on them (bump fire negates the scope because of the motion)
- Gets a suite that is too high so his fire is more plunging and less grazing
- Doesn't use tracer rounds or any kind of ranging tool
- Fires long bursts emptying the magazines instead of short bursts that allow for controllable fire and don't overheat the weapon
- As a result misses a nine acre parking lot and hits some fuel tanks at the airport half a mile downrange with at least a few rounds
- Uses only one larger capacity magazine and then switches to smaller capacity magazines (90 round burst initially to 30 round bursts after) which reduces the time the guns are in action
- The guns are only in action for about ten minutes total with long periods of downtime between bursts
- Kills himself immediately on discovery and from the blood stains in the pictures fucks that up, too
There is considerable detailed "infantry knowledge" encapsulated in the planning and a lot of effort put into reconnaissance. There is no evidence of skill or experience in the execution of the plan. Paddock had no military training. How can one man plan so well and execute so incompetently? Did it never occur to him over the months of planning and accounting for all of the detail that "Hey, I'd better learn to use these guns"? That's a rather large oversight for someone who planned the rest in such detail. Or did someone else help him with the planning and he was the patsy shooter who bought stuff and set stuff up at the other person's direction and then bungled the execution of the plan? Which explanation is more logical?

Don't let me sway you guys from investigating, but I'd like to try and answer some of these ponderous things. You're doing God's work but I'd like to argue a few points.
1. The 3 single shots fired before the first burst could have been him shooting the two windows. There's a solid 30 seconds or more before he goes full auto on the crowd, which could be enough time to finish smashing the windows with the hammer.
2. I saw footage of several wounded people leaving the venue and trying to find ambulances. One of them is in this video I believe youtube.com
3. Any muzzle flash from that distance would be small and hard to notice. Guns don't typically flare up after every round, even when fired in automatic. I have a feeling we'll find a frame or two of muzzle flash within the collective footage.
4. Pretty sketchy, but it's Las Vegas right next to the airport. That's where helicopters have to take off from unless you've got a proper helipad.
5. Honestly, the shooter's brother's candid comments make it seem like really didn't know the plan. He would be way more careful with his words if he knew what his brother was doing. Seems like he isn't too surprised, though; like the shooter wasn't very fond of people or something.
