Why a tristar. Of all planes on that page the Tristar baffles me the most.

Why not a dreamliner or a jumbo. you know something more modern as far as widebody civil airliners go.

They have enough tanks for 3 teams, why don't they give some to Ooarai? I thought they became friends.

no more generals

Those still are school property. The school as a whole will decide that and not just Kay and co.

Tell that to Anzu.

>fixed wing
Don't tell me they have others.

>ywn study at saunders. ;_;

>Osprey
>fixed wing
Does it really count?

I wonder if their Ospreys are also carbon-coated.

Well the wing bit is fixed, it's just the propulsion that moves.

Unfortunately, she doesn't run Saunders. She can do her thing in Oarai but in other schools, nope.

I imagine they would have a helicopter or two.

I imagine they would have a helicopter or twenty

Why was the last thread deleted?

A vice-commander falls in love with a commander.
Unable to confess, she is gifted with by a deus ex machina with the commander’s phone number. Never minding the strange area code, she immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on her as well.
But, the next day, when she recounts the previous day’s confessions to the commander, she only looks at her with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, she finds out that the girl she called is not the same girl she fell in love with. In fact, she doesn’t exist in this school at all. She is the commander’s little sister, who has fallen in love with her sister, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.
Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their oblivious target of affection. While the two chase their loved one, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of SENSHADO.

Shut the fuck up, Erika. Maho is meant for her sister, not you, dirty dog.

Dumbass put "edition" in the OP.

Well, KMM have at least one helicopter.

We need GUTS

Momo is a cool beauty!

Why the hell would Saunders have a Dragon Lady?

Dumb.

Baka.

Why do you think?

Which Gurupan would be the worst to date?

Momo.

>>Saunders is funded by the US government.
Saunders even somehow modified the Super Galaxy to have a maximum payload of 180t
US Air Force should already got theirs modified too

...

>U-2
Why the fuck did they use COMINT when they could of used real-time photo reconnaissance?

Such a weird mishmash of aircraft. I guess the C-5 and C-130 are for material transport, while the Constellation, Tristar, and DC-3 are for personnel transport. Have no idea why they would need a KC-10 if they seem to only operate within the Japanese Home Islands. U-2 is really a mystery, and V-22 seems to be something akin to short-range ship-to-shore operations.

Is that all the aircraft, or is there more?

Everything might turn out alright

So we're posting Duce then?

...

Their missions are written there.

Season 2 is never ever.

...

>ACZ:The Belkan War anime never

>implying I know moon
I wouldn't have posted if I did, user.

Maybe I should give those DJT a try...

Speaking of translators, anyone here want to do some /ak/-related work? We are always looking for help, no matter how much or how little.

Excellent.

>tfw Frenchfag but love an Italian more than Eclair

From a previous thread:
>2 DC3 for horses or domestic animals of the riding club/livestock department
>2 Super Conny's for the chairman and other VIPs

>KC-10
The C-5M must have been running on fumes to pull off that stunt they did in the film. They'd have to have the plane virtually empty (except the tanks), and have the fuel fly itself (onboard the KC-10) alongside them. Refuelling constantly from it, along the way. And fuck physics in several other ways to make it possible, but at least it gives the KC-10 a use

...

youtube.com/watch?v=GAx3FnVAOWA

They thought of that too.
>The Super Galaxy could only carry 122t normally, but Saunders upgraded it to carry 180t.

>Oorai tanks add up to 200t, so it was extremely risky to transport them. Saunders under-fuelled the plane to reduce weight, and had two KC-10 taking turns refuelling it in mid air in order to keep it flying. This had to be done twice, once to get the tanks back to Saunders, and once to get the tanks to the tournament. Oorai own them a BIG favour.

Arisa uses it to fuel her "womanly hunches".

>this was actually thought out
I'm impressed

...

C-5M:Belong mainly to tank department, specially modify for transporting tanks, own 3 of them.

U-2R: Weather observation uses, own 2 of them.

V-22:Use for high-speed transportation for staff and supply, own 5 of them.

KC-10:Use as aerial refueling for C-5M, own 3 of them.

L-1049: Use to transport VIP(Especially former student),the internal is heavily modify. Own 2 of them.

C-130H: Use for supply transportation. own 10 of them.

L1011:Generally use for transport student/staff/student body council member, also use for field trips. Own 3 of them.

DC-3:Use to transport horses/livestock for Equestrianism department and Livestock department. Own 2 of them

>mfw they make Bill Gates look poor.

...

How would one modify a plane to carry more? add wingspan?

Carbon, I ain't gonna explain any shit.

>weight, check
>fuel, check
Let's assume since there's such a thing as CARBON COATING in-universe,that along with the engine upgrade, they rigged the wings so they don't snap off when they lift 80 extra tons between them, but how in the world did they pull off that landing and take off? The yard + parking lot could not have been longer than 700 meters

I want to confess to the Momo.

To be fair, those are probably institute's properties, not personal properties.
Now, what asset does Anzio own? And what is Magginot's excuse for losing against them?

Yeah at this point if you ask "did they think of this?" the answer is "yes".

More powerful engines too I guess.

They can build massive skyscraper-tall floating islands shaped like aircraft carriers. I assume their material science is several orders of magnitude greater than ours.

>>How was Anzio able to defeat Maginot with their peashooters? The French had many very well-armored tanks in WW2 and previously.
>Serious answer; a self-repost.

>The Italian tankettes charged into the French lines, caused a great mess but caused no damage, then ran off. The Italian tanks gave chase, but their B1 Bis flag tank was too slow to follow and was left behind. Then 2 Semovente attacked the isolated flag tank with the third keeping the returning defensive forces away. The entire round ended by a single HE round fired by the Semovente.

>The strange thing with this match is that the single B1 Bis was the ONLY tank that was disabled by either side. So it was a close match for that reason. The infobook said Eclair ended the day in tears, unfortunately.

>In my headcanon I imagine Anchovy consoling her at the dinner table at the usual Anzio feast.

Being Eclair is suffering.

Even if it is institute's properties, I don't think cooperation like Microsoft or Google can afford these asset let along the maintenance cost.

>C-5Ms were upgraded from existing C-5A/B/Cs at a unit cost of US$90 million in 2009 dollars. The C-130H and KC-10 had respective unit costs of US$30.1 million and US$88.4 million in 1998 dollars. According to Flight Global, the U-2 cost US$2,380 per flight hour to operate in 2014.
I stand by my statement that Saunders is owned/sponsored by either the US government or several rich American CEOs.

Winglets, remove any (for the envisioned mission) unnecessary stuff inside, take on less fuel, adjust the engine settings so they push out more thrust.

All of those will have a (huge) impact on your maximum range, but if you really need those extra tons on a short flight (or re-fuel in-flight), it's perfectly feasible.

Some rich dude one day decided he wants his own space program and is now proceeding to give the top commercial space launch providers a run for their money.
It's not hard to think there must be some rich nostalgiafag somewhere who'll one day decide he wants one of every sherman ever made, then decide he wants a whole fuckload of every cool aircraft he nostalgiafagged when he was young, then decide he wants cute girls driving his shermans speaking slurred english and flying his planes when he's gone

Re-post about Saunders:

>First, what we already know: They [Saunders] are part of a large group of private schools from kindergarten to university. The school was originally a land school ran by Americans, for Americans, back in the old days and had a long history (I guess Anzio was still the oldest because Saunders was not a Japanese school in the beginning.)

>The American population was later moved elsewhere and the school became fully Japanese once they built their first schoolship. Saunder still does exchange programs every year with actual American schools.

>Senshado is a big deal in Saunders, with not just money but also the biggest active number of functional tanks in the country. They have a very high quality group of engineer students maintaining the tanks. In general they have more than 50 M4 class tanks active at any one time. The engineer students are kept busy with modifications, and there are talks of Ez8 tread modifications and upgrade of chassis. They have so many vehicles, both tanks and support vehicles, that no one really knows how many they actually have.

>There are 500 Senshado practitioners in Saunders, and several times that number of engineers. The other clubs actually aid the Senshado cause actively, in the sense that most of the school is technically part of the club unofficially.
>Saunders tactics involve heavy fire-power and using mobility as defence. When fighting, the weak front tanks would slowly back away from the enemy and allow the heavier armoured main tanks to the rear to catch up and fight back. All the while the advancing enemy gets surrounded left and right and get into a crossfire.

>Saunders tank commanders tend to be recruited from the Intelligence clubs. While the very best gunners get the big cannons in the slower tanks, focusing on killing enemies from long range.

Sounds like the wet dram of Sup Forums or /k/

>Tragically the vehicle quota limits in official Senshado matches means Saunders tactics are much harder to pull off. So they have much harder time winning matches than you think.

>Tactically they are treated as brutish and overwhelming enemies with numbers. St Gloria considers Sanders to be too barbaric.

It's just an anime, user. You're not supposed to read that much into it and compare it with real world numbers. You're acting like a city-sized aircraft carrier school who owns vintage tanks from WWII and lets them rampage across town with impunity because they can just repair all the damage afterwards isn't already an outrageous enough concept and expensive as fuck

>you will never fall in love with a Jewish girl at your concentration camp and at the end of the war help her escape and settle down with her and start a family in America
>you will never have nazi hunters show up at your house as an old man and laugh at them as they try and punish you after you've already lived a full, happy life

Are there more translations for the other schools? What should I search for on desuarchive?
>Tragically the vehicle quota limits in official Senshado matches means Saunders tactics are much harder to pull off. So they have much harder time winning matches than you think.
>tfw the 50v50 Saunders vs. Pravda match will never be animated

Shush you.

>All this discussion

And /k/ says they are the discussion-side of /ak/...

It's so and so. Sometimes we get discussion of an interesting topic, most of the time we just get waifuposting.

>Eclair ended the day in tears

I need an OVA of this.

stop fucking namefagging jesus christ.

Nah, it comes and goes.

That's enough namefagging, sweetheart. You do it enough on /k/.

Don't remember what thread it was and I'm not sure how far the desuarchive go. I only copy/paste the info during the time these rough translations were posted.

/k/ is the ABSOLUTELY NOT Sup Forums board, they go out of their way to say it every chance they get

Well if you have any more it would be greatly appreciated.

Jeez, you guys give me enough shit on /k/ already.
But fine, have it your way.

I was going to lead off asking if anyone was interested in translating a few Groundless 4koma extras from volume 3 (or at least seeing the raws), but I guess you guys just want to Duce or Erikaspam.

Have a good night/day, everyone else.

Well, it's because weapons are such a political tool in everyday life nowadays that they are fiercely trying to push back against anything that isn't general discussion or shilling for X product.

Well, without any further discussions, have a turtle team then.

>Don't tell me they have others.
>I imagine they would have a helicopter or two.
They have 18 rotary aircraft, to be precise.

>Why the hell would Saunders have a Dragon Lady?
For weather forecasts. I am dead serious. And they have two of them.

Okay then. Remember these are just rough translations from the Gekkan Senshado Magazines by an user. It's also not full translations of the articles(unless someone translates the scans fully.

Repost:
>Anzio
It seems Anzio was actually the first school to build a schoolship in Japan, re-purposing a merchant vessel.
Another point is that their current ship is a popular tourist attraction, which explains why students were able to make money running food stalls.

>It mentions a Semovente 90/53, but that should not be Senshado legal.

>It mentions that they modified it with a sealed cabin, but the Senshado organisation haven't yet gave them the approval to use it.

>BC Freedom
>BC Freedom is a COMBINE school of both BC and Freedom, when both schools have schoolships that are derelict and needed replacing. The government funding limits means the two schools were combined into one newer ship. But there was massive inter-school political fighting. The intentional was to have one super-school. But it was a massive failure and we ended up with the entire ship split in half, with the old Freedom school taking up Port side while the BC inhabit the Starboard side.

>This explains why their school emblem was confusing; it literally houses two factions!

>For BC Freedom, it says they have a FCM, but it never shows in matches, so either it is considered old and not of practical value or they couldn't get it to work. More conventionally, they also have a Panther G (but in the little that runs in the same magazine, this does not show up for the match vs St. Glorianna, so it is also not operational ... apparently) and even a Valentine they got recently (again, didn't show up...)

>Maginot
>So Maginot was a girls-school created to teach wine-making, specialising in traditional techniques including juicing the grapes with your feet. And the reason they used a submarine as their schoolship was because supposedly the water pressure speeds up wine maturation.

>Their tank doctrine is inflexible and rely on moving in groups. But their arts, film studies, and clothing design are highly creative. They also take their food very, very seriously.

>Well, it says they are trying to restore the ARL44, but they are short on budget and crews and it is not clear whether it'll become a useful combat capability (senryoku), so it is not progressing.

>Saunders owns KC-10 Extenders
Oh shit nigger I'm a crew chief on those
I called their C-5 operation needing AR when the English subs came out

>St. Gloriana
>St. Gloriana is a very famous and privileged school, with Senshado a major part of the school's culture. A lot of the school's funds came from alumnae donations, but that means the graduates ended up influencing tank selection. Thus conservative tank selections despite their wealth.

>The school has very stringent selection process to even be enrolled. Students aim to become a part of the "Tea Garden", the building where the best of the best students in grades and behaviour, and trusted by all, given soul names of teas, gather.

>After graduation the Tea Garden members join one of the three major factions of the alumnae organizations (can't read them, sorry.), and they run regular meetings to oversea how their school should be ran. Especially on how the next generation of Senshado leaders would be chosen.

>The amusing thing is the suggestion that they could have much better tanks, but that the graduates vetoed the upgrades because of sentimentality towards the tanks they used when they were students.

>Viking Fisheries High School use a mix of tanks from other schools, including the silly NbFz. Recently they are discussing purchasing some M24 Chaffees.

>School culturally focus on equality, hard work, and cleanliness. Strangely the school's students all don't like talking very much, other schools consider VF school students rather odd and borderline mute.

>The students are crazy about precision, especially on the issue of time. They plan their battle plans literally down to the second, and they train their tank crews to extreme levels of proficiency. Their battle plans are nuts and goes into details on at the exact moment you were suppose to see your enemy, where on the enemy tank you are suppose to target down to the cm. But the problem is their plans simply fall apart in actual battles, and the tank crews don't know what to do when they can't follow their training anymore.

>Preferred terrain is mountains and snow fields. At beach battles they prefer surprise attacking from the water, and they have tanks capable of moving across water for this purpose.

>VF loves nature, and their school ship deck is covered in a huge forest. There is a huge section on their food choices, but I could only understand that they have salmon as their specialty. Also, the school doesn't charge the students any school fees.

Thanks!

>best of the best students in grades and behaviour
>Rosehip

>As for Bonple Girl's High School, Polish themed, the school is historically close to St Gloria and they have an active exchange program.

>Their current tanks are all weak sauce peashooters. They have a strange selection of rare tanks including the 10TP, but no one knows how the hell they managed to get that one. Their current tactics are to use their mobility to attack their enemy, but their firepower is inadequate.

>They actually have been in discussion with multiple schools in acquiring some tanks from them. But ironically the massive amount of choices means internal school factions cause breakdowns from negotiations. Especially the pro-St Gloria faction somehow managed to cause Black Forest to walk away from the deal. So they are still stuck with weak tanks just because they can't agree on what upgrades to purchase.

>Culturally the students have trouble making up their minds on anything. But they are hard working, polite, and in fact have the best chances in the country of going into the top universities. They love egg dishes, is famed for their senshado music band, and have equestrians competing at the international level.

>Koala Forest School
>I didn't expect them to have so much new info. Did the Australian one have anything interesting in it?
>Mostly that they are very tactically flxible and have a very relaxed near non-existent hierarchy. zthey currently us the M3 series of tanks but is in discussion in getting some M4s.

>Tactically they prefer the equivalent of cavalry charges, breaking up enemy formation. But if they are forced into a straight shootout they are surprisingly fragile. They pefer desert terrain, and are in good relation with Saunders. There is a whole section on food too. But I would need someone else to translate that.

>polite
Gotta say, nogami nailed it this time

>australia school

>For the Yoghurt Academy, they are an agricultural school. Specialises in dairy products. They started off with weak peashooters, but recently has expanded their arsenal to the surprise of their opponents. The schoolship dedicate most of the space to farms and ranches, and there are talks of converting tractors into tanks and tanks into tractors. School culture revolves around "simplicity, thrift, hard work, endurance."

>For the size of the schoolship, it imports massive amounts of hotsprings water on a regular basis.

As the guy who originally created all these rough translations...
I am surprised after all this time, no one else with the proper qualifications had stepped up to actually translate these pages properly and officially. But I guess it is too much work?

Love that insignia.

I feel somewhat foolish for asking, but is this supposed to be Greece?

Handwaving, the C-5M is a brand new upgrade with an absurd lifting power.

I want to see them fight St. Gloriana, the banter would be incredible.

Oi, fuck off cunt.

>Ah... INTERESTING...

>First, Black Forest couldn't actually dock their school ship at their official home province because it doesn't have the right kind of port that can allow for it, so they have another port elsewhere that they actually use.

>The Nishizumi school is ANCIENT. They started as horseback archers in 1754. When archery became obsolete, they converted to horseback firearms. Combine with another tradition leading to a female focused school of combat concerning the use of guns and Naginata while on horseback. When Japan modernised the school got incorporated in the government military. And when tanks were first introduced, Nishizumi school got access to tanks first in the country. Thus Japanese Senshado started there.

>After WW1 ended, a lot of leftover tanks were sold. Nishizumi purchased a lot of them and thus they truly became a tank powerhouse of the nation.

>Germany links: In the medieval times there was a deliberate attempt by the Nishizumi school to learn Prussian Calvary tactics. There was something about a doctor (need help translating!) and basically they were best of friends with Prussians. But then WW1 happened and Japan allied with England so they had to break diplomatic relations.

Cont.

I wish someone translate fully these now that this is being reposted again.

>More:
>During WW1 there was skirmishes with Prussian colonies near Japan, and this lead to Purssian POWs. Some of these POWs ended up staying in Japan instead of going home, and many of them were guests at Nishizumi School because of past ties and friendly history. This leads to social networking with their relatives, some of them obtaining high level positions in the German government and heavy industry, and the result was Black Forest Highschool being set up in Japan.

>After WW2 ended, during the confusion at the time, large quantities of rare and even experimental military hardware in Germany ended up being shipped to Black Forest for safe keeping. (So THAT's how they got a Maus!)

>Schol attitude: The students are extremely lawful and strongly believe in justice and rules. And whenever they do something they always go full force all the way. They are interpreted by others as stubborn and conservative, and not very good at negotiations. The school badly needed a shakeup as they have set in their old ways too long.

>How do they define "medieval"?
>My translation error. Basically they have been around from the 1700s and just managed to get Prussians to teach them their Calvary tricks before the nation seals its boarders to foreigners.

>Wait, Prussian? So the German empire never forms in this timeline?

>Nishizumi School existed before the fall of the German royal family. The idea is that they were friendly with the Prussians, then Nazi Germany, then modern Germany. The long relationship is why they had been able to obtain German military hardware. The Nishizumi has friends in high places in Deutschland.

>Edit: According to Wiki the Empire didn't form until 1871. Since Nishizumi School existed from 1754, there was plenty of time for them to know each other before the Empire formed.

>And the thing with Nazism is sort of dampened by the fact that they were friends way before Hitler showed up, so they see Hitler as just a blip in their history and don't let it define them.

>Here is a minor school: Gregor High School, of Czech Republic.

>It all started when Japanese painted kitchenware and pottery first became popular as an export item to europe, and Czech merchants came to Japan to set up a depot for the manufacture and shipping of goods to be sold to Europe. The pottery factories they built eventually became the future Gregor High School. The Bushido memorabillia and things influenced the Czechs and some came to Japan to learn more. Gregor treats the Japan-Czech international cultural exchange as one of their most important subjects. And a part of that includes Senshado. Sadly, they are poorfags.

>Australia
>school

I wonder about that music band. What kind of music do they play?
