I need some new mangas to read. Put an explanation of why you like them if you want.
>7 seeds People frozen in time and released to repopulate the earth after a meteor fucked it up, not the biggest fan of the artwork but the story is the greatest
>Biomeat: Nectar Humans have engineered an animal to eat all their trash, but it gets out and it will eat anything, including humans. 3 separate arcs following 4 kids as they grow into adults and the world goes to shit
>I am a Hero Zombie manga but the zombies still speak normally and perform daily routines. MC is a mangaka almost to the level of a hikikomori. Artstyle makes everyone look like a real person instead of anime face, so that's nice.
>Ares vagrant soldier Following a kid named Ares as he goes to war and makes some friends. Its more comedic than it sounds but it does have its dark moments.
>Uzumaki Ok a junji Ito one had to show up on my list at one point. I like the story of this one the most, but all of Junji Ito's mangas are pretty good.
>Assassination Classroom Class E-3 is taught by a monster who blew up the moon, and they must assassinate him before he blows up the earth as well. Rather lighthearted with a suckerpunch ending.
>Bartender Short almost vignette style as we learn about a bartender and his customers.
>O-parts hunter Follow a band of adventurers as they attempt to find ancient powerful relics. Written by the brother of Masashi Kishimoto, and while the story is a touch similar to Naruto, I like this one more.
>Kuroshitsuji Guilty pleasure, don't judge me. Anime is shit, manga is infinitely better.
Leo Kelly
nice rec thread kid
Matthew Barnes
boku no pico
Zachary Perez
Kill yourself, newfag.
Dominic Gutierrez
You know I actually liked boku no pico, I just keep my porn to a different board
Ryan Johnson
actually at this point all of the thread is me recommending shit to you, so if that still counts then yeah I guess its a rec thread, but at least its not a "new to anime what's the best" thread
Jack Scott
>Boku no Hero Academia + Nanatsu no Taizai + Birdmen 3 above average battle shonen starring large & colorful cast, keeping up with them gives you a better understanding for the differences between the the major publisher, Jump, WSM & Sunday
>Golden Kamuy + Vagabond + Dorohedoro 3 seinen stories with unique setting & tons of action
>Liar Game another exciting seinen but on psychological level
>Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko another one of those high schools romcoms, however this one is daily 4koma so there are way more comedy than usual
>Mob Psycho 100 OPM on steroids
Caleb Bennett
>tomo chan >boku no hero academia >nanatsu no taizai how can you compare this mangas to the rest of the list?
Nicholas Adams
Ooo, gonna check out liar game
So Mob Psycho 100 is good? His art style kinda throws me, and I found OPM funny but not 10/10, manga terms.
I ended up watching nanatsu no Taizai on netflix, if thats the same one they made 7 deadly sins from, pretty good.
Good taste my friend.
Jace Collins
I don't read one genre, I read everything
I think ONE care about Mob & put more effort in making it than OPM
Mason Martin
I like horror manga the most but same, I've read around
I've heard the anime is looking good, might watch it.
Side note, have you watched Erased? I've been hearing such mixed reviews on it.
Hudson Moore
Yeah, it still counts. Imagine you are sitting in a room, and it's summer, so you open windows to escape the heat, and wasps fly around all day and sting you. You try to drive wasps away, and here I walk it and dump a pound of honey on the floor.
Julian Taylor
>genre i'm talking about quality
Isaiah Williams
yeah, I watched Erased
I liked it but I admit it's a flawed series with a lot of plot holes
its fandom need to stop sticking their fingers on their ears & yell nan na na...the criticism is pretty justified
Carson Sanchez
I didn't say BnHA & NnT were masterpieces, I said they were above average If you think there are way worse battle shonen out there
same thing with Tomo, I admit it's not greatest thing ever but it makes me laugh consistently so it got that going for it which is nice
James Long
then make it a judge my taste thread or post your own favs and why you like them. You don't have to tailor your shit to fit me, I kinda just wanted a discussion on peoples fav mangas so I know what's good to read and what's shit... prolly could have worded it differently then to avoid you fucks but what's done is done, learned for next time.
Might give it a skip then, I like my mysteries to be solid with as few plot holes as possible
Jacob Lee
*If you think they're bad then believe me there are way worse battle shonen out there fixed
Adam Parker
>The Flowers of Evil >Berserk >Monster Musume >Prison School >Oyasumi Punpun >Helck >JoJo's Bizarre Adventure >Ping Pong >Mob Psycho 100
those should cover all your fetishes
Aaron Sanchez
>Fucking monster musume I don't get the appeal honestly, porn is good but the actual show is just a cuckfest with one dimensional girls
Thanks for the recs, I heard Bersek had a WTF ending and from what I know its pretty long, is the journey worth it?
Christopher Butler
Berserk is still ongoing, and is only 45% done if the author is to be believed. There's been some controversy on what Berserk has turned into, but I still consider it to be one of the greatest masterpieces ever created. It's a must read for everyone imo.
Noah Carter
>45% done >only on ep 4 shit show!
Liam Fisher
ah, must have confused it with something else. Thanks, I'm not a huge lover of long mangas but it is a classic, so ill give it a look.
Liar game is good from what I've read to so far.
Andrew Peterson
These threads become pretty much pointless after you post your 3x3 more than once or twice, after that it's all just circle jerking over and over. So at the very least this thread is different and also about manga.
1/1 - That's some really weird taste, like it's clearly from someone new but still not the most common or mainstream manga, that's good I guess. 2/3 - Liar Game is boring, One Outs is much better. Having said that, have you read Magi? If you have, you still consider those 3 better than it?
1/2 - If it's just part 3 then fuck that's the second worst part, if JoJo as a whole then it's cool.
David Jackson
OP here, actually most of these are from manga I was big into from when I was 12, only I am a hero and Assasination classroom are from stuff I've read recently since I'm jumping back in
I also used to read my manga by wanting to read every manga on a site that no longer exists, so I just read down the list of ones they had, dropping things if I didn't like them past the first volume. So yeah, I ended up with some weird ones that no one would have recommended to me. I would have put B-Shock, Sayonara Zetsubou sensei, and xxxholic/tsubasa but I ran out of room.
I also fucking love FMA, Bleach, and was once current on Naruto, because those were the ones that were popular when I started reading, but FMA and bleach are already so popular, so I wanted to put unusual things in there.
Brandon Lewis
I guess we're naming them now? 1/5> 3/5
>TTGL >Code Geass >Made in Abyss >Conan >konosuba >fate zero >akame ga kilu >steins gate >katanagatari
Henry Torres
Also Liar game's premise is good but the fuck is wrong with these peoples mouths, they're weirdly long. MC's a whiney bitch but I'm kinda hooked now
Austin Morgan
Mah nigga, 10/10 taste.
Charles Jackson
Ah I've heard good things about Conan, and I wanna watch Stein's Gate, is that manga any good?
And yes naming would be nice, I can never tell what the anime is from just one character, especially if they look standard anime
>also the fuck man 1/5?
Jaxon Williams
conan is extremely long, not saying its bad, but just very long. I think they're at ~90 books now steins gate is good, id watch even if some contrarian faggots exist Also the 1/5 is because i saw the anime ver of butler and thought it was kinda shitty, the others were kinda bad because they were translated, didn't get to watch/read in japanese which is what i'm used to, so it felt a bit off, might read them if i can find a japanese version
Aiden Perez
>90+ books 3 many 5 me, that's some dedication though
The anime version of BB was shit, but the manga takes a totally different path and doesn't shoehorn in random fucking characters. In fact its not even close to finished so (Shrug)
You can find raws in places but I can't read moon runes so I've never looked, you might have more luck. I haven't ever watched the anime for any of the ones I've listed if they exist except for black butler, and I dropped that one like a hot potato, so take that with a grain of salt, but I'm sure they exist somewhere
Ethan Scott
I haven't finished One Outs yet, but I'm loving it so far
& yes I read Magi, I liked the earlier stuff & the fantastical adventure aspect of the story, however I didn't care about the war & politics arc that came after it so I'm putting it on hold
& regarding your question, I think it's on same level as those 3, Magi's problem is the bad arc lasted too long imo
Joseph Richardson
got to ch 18 of liar game before I decided the whiney MC wasn't worth it, gonna try out flowers of evil
Brandon Gutierrez
the fuck is with the cucking and shit man, either tell her you like her or fuck off faggot, luckily berserk is looking good
Blake Reed
this 3x3 is the same 3x3 i use for anime and manga
Eli Sanchez
why is Katanagatari on there it has no manga adaptation or is this an anime and manga 3x3 thread now?
Evan Lee
>are... are all of these different?
Robert Bell
I'd prefer it stay manga only but I can't stop you
Angel Collins
no its all initial D its the only animu/mango i've read/seen
Dylan Perez
i was asking for his sake because i think his 3x3 consists of mostly just anime. i posted my 3x3 here
Michael Wright
ah shit didn't realize it was a manga one sry
Aaron Nguyen
I was so worried that there was some kind of subgenre of brown haired guys driving a white boxy car and you found all of them
Sebastian Hill
oh i wish such a subgenre existed
Caleb Jones
>I do not and have no desire to understand
Oliver Young
you could always make an animu 3x3 thread onii-senpai
Andrew Taylor
7/7
4/4
I'm super interested in nanatsu, should I start with the anime and then jump to manga?
3/3
Henry Cox
Kill yourself, and everyone who responded seriously should follow suit.
Tyler Thomas
I liked all of the series you posted but I dont know the one on the middle left, could you share them please. I stopped reading REAL when I got caught up with the chapters a few years ago. I should probably check it out again for updates.
Justin Morgan
I didn't watch NnT anime but from what I've heard the anime skips stuff from the manga
