Communism does not work for the benitfit of the proletariat as it claims.
It only works for members of the inner party.
Communism does not destroy a ruling class or lead to economic equality (money= power)
It simply replaces a traditional ruling class of "bourgeoisie" with a new ruling class of people who are party members and have personal connections to the leaders of the communist revolution.

To thrive, a specie would require its individuals to be selfish as per Ayn Rand's definition. Not doing so would cause the productive member of its society to die off, and both society and specie to weaken to its death.
